With the progress (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=79414) in the modelling of M2TW I wonder how many things will have to be done from scratch for EB2?

Alot probably. The scripting, modelling, skinning, map, government system. The 2D art can be reused, including the ancillaries, as well as the campaign models (I think), and the descriptions.

Modelling and skinning will have to change, because now things work differently IIRC and there is the whole needing multiples of each type of shield, skin, etc, etc so that you don't get the clones.

We'll be able to adapt the traits and ancillaries as well, if CA fixes the AntiTrait mechanism in the next patch, that is.

Our focus is primarily on 1.0, so not a lot of work has been done.

The good news is that many of us consider 0.8.1 like a 1+ release, so we aren't stacking up the requirements for the next release, which should be 1.0.

Thank god that youve desided to use M2TW its AI moddability will allow you to truly create a masterpiece!!!
IMHO the only obstacle as far as skinning and moddeling goes will be the creation of different body parts and textures to avoid the clones....
Thus I have a secret hope that EB2 open beta will be released by the time that M2s xpack is released....
