On the Trail of a Mafia (Mini Game) [Concluded]

This is my first attempt at hosting a game here. I have hosted several on other forums, so I do know what I am doing.

Basically a 12 player mini-mafia following the usual rules, however for the roles I have gone a little different.

There will still be 2 mafioso, however instead of a detective and a doctor there will be 2 doctors. In addition there will be a one-shot only vigilante who can night kill only once. Everyone else is a townie.

Each mafia can kill once, so that if only 1 mafia member is left alive there will be only 1 kill.

In the case of a tied vote a person will randomly die.

No Lynch and Abstain are both allowed.

48 Hour Day periods, 24 hour nightperiods.

The people started murmuring to their neighbour. Their worst fears were confirmed.

"Now people I have one idea of what we can do. Long have we relied on Tosa alone to keep the peace. So we have had no police. Instead what we now find ourselves relying on is you, the average townperson. We must vote to lynch one of us each day. Innocents will fall, but eventually we will find them."

Arach looked down his nose at Sasaki. He was lying there at Arach's feet silently. Many accusations had been levelled at him, most of them for no reason other than 'He looks shifty'. He had no way to defend himself, so he didn't bother.

"Sasaki, I hereby sentence you to death for the murder of the great Tosa Inu. Do you have anything to say in your defence?"

Sasaki looked up at Arach and arched an eyebrow.

"Fair enough, stupid question. Anyway, the town has found you guilty of murder. For that reason, we shall kill you with our guillotine. Don't ask why we have a guillotine, we just do."

Arach's bodyguard went into the backrooms of the town hall, and came back with the guillotine, mounted on wheels. He brought it to Sasaki and pushed Sasaki's head into the hole. He pulled the rope that lower the blade.

SHWANG!

Sasaki's came off cleanly and rolled to come at a stop at Ichigo's feet.

Tran went back home after the lynching. He had masterminded the death of Sasaki, and that left some guilt. He went to the Church to relieve some of it.

He went into the church and sipped at the Sacramental wine located near the door. Father Francis had never been the best priest. He was always too trusting of his flock.

"Forgive me oh Lord, for I have taken the life of another man."

There was a ringing above Tran's head. He looked up and looked upon the face of God himself.

"My son, I wish you to do something for me."

"Anything oh Lord."

"I want you to accept the meaning of life off me. You are to spread the word to the people of this town. This will stop the violence!"

"Oh Lord! I shall accept this with joy!"

"That is good, my son. The meaning of life is..."

Blood rose in Tran's throat. He started to choke and go into spasms. The blood kept coming. Tran could not stop it, and his eyes started to close as death approached. The last thing he saw was a hooded figure picking up the wine and laughing.

It had been poisoned.

I'd say the original idea CA expanded on was hallucination and poison. Definately poison. Maybe while Tran tried to repent. He didn't necessarily have to be in a Church, and if Tran (at least his character) was a pious christian, he'd have tried to pray for himself. But to go in a church? The priest could have talked to him, and it seems Tran wanted to be alone.

Although, the idea could have been a murder in church. After all, how many murder possibilities exist in that kind of place?

Tran was under suspicion for leading the wagon. He was either killed because the other people on the wagon wanted to make themselves look less suspicious, or because one of the people off the wagon wanted us to think that. What I'm saying is, the mafia is among the people still alive.

As for my defence, most of my mafia-time is spent trying to understand the scary scary world of Cosa Nuova, reading the 3+ pages that pop up whenever I look away, seeking truth in the lies. Then I remembered I'd joined this game, and thought it more than passing funny that Tran got killed while the meaning of life was revealed to him.
As an even weaker point, I'm a mere vanilla vill(ager), pro-town but sadly lacking in any sexy doctorate degrees.

Right. I should point out that I was only saying my opinion, and more or less answering Killfr3enzy.
I've also not had much time recently. If you wish to check, you'll see that I've been rather absent this last week (ask Khavan Isbul, if you want, but check the TROG-OOC thread first). But now I'm on holiday, which means I'll be able to post more.
I also recall posting in CNII that most of my posts are useless in a Mafia game. Can't really blame me for that, eh?

BlackAxe started to vomit. It was unsurprising, considering what was about to happen. It spilled over Arach's shoes. Arach simply shrugged, and kicked BlackAxe in the throat.

Suddnely, BlackAxe was on his back making choking sounds. His windpipe had been crushed. He started twitching and going into convulsions.

Then it all stopped abruptly.

Arach looked back up to the assembled townspeople, "I hope to God that you were righ this time."
