While reading about the current problems with reinforcemnets in the total war series i had an idea........

Why for crusaders do they not make reinforcemnet armies ai controlled bodies, this would make the single player campaigns an absolutely fantastic spectacle, i mean they could even go as far as assigning keys to give the aii controlled armies orders like halt or advance on the enemy, personally i think this would be a fantastic feature i mean we can have 4v4 custom battles already, with the player fighting along side the ai so why not in campaign mode, another feature id like to see added is the ability to control more than 16 units in one army.

Just a thought but one that i think would really improve the game.

Maybe on the interface screen you could see you ai reinforcement armies generals flag and click on it like u do now to give these orders, i realise that ordering other armies in anyway may not happen but id like to hear peoples views on this

An intriguing idea, Shwoosh. I would like to choose the units detached from the main army AND specify when and where they would enter the map too. i.e. 10 minutes into the game on the east side. The detachment commander's rating could then effect the likelyhood that your forces will arrive according to plan.

I would also hope 32 units are to be made possible. What they have to do is make unit icons a bit smaller, and tweak the engine (memory issues). Game speed should be no problem with PC hardware in 2003.
Reinforcements should appear along the border of the map from the direction you attacked from. Would be absolutely enough for me.
What I would desperately hope for is a feature that the units have to drink, especially in the desert, because it played such an important part in the battle of Hattin .. Nah, forget it

As long as my men holding a bridge are not attacked my cav reinforcements from the rear that should not have been there - I am fine with it.

That is a grand idea, sort of like present allied assaults in the current TW...am I correct in assuming so?

Gah! Krast hears Krast's name spoken!

But wait!?!? It is only a strange corruption of Krast's name!

Whut duzzit mean? 'Krasturakian disease' ?!?!

Sounds horrible.

Krast hopes it goes away soon.

Krast also hope that 'Crusaders' is good enough to warrant attention.

Do the EA/CA peeps actually read these posts? Looking at MI/WE suggests they're asleep as often as not.

Hmmmm.

hmmmm.... so far the current STW:WE reinforcemtns gameplay is a bit less popular than EA intended. We'll see what happens. I called a "friend" of mien today to see if any "builds" could be scored, sadly (and predictibly) there are none, at least nothing portable. Still very much in planning stages and getting music made etc.
we could be in for a long wait....
