So its out today(PC GAMER);has anybody got it yet????? http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.giflet us know.....
Crusaders got any ideas how you'd like the game to look like,what sort of units etc.how u would like the game to run.ie build up weapons morale etc.u know the stuff i rantting about.....
i have an idea?;why not have area on the maps
which have say long grass and bushies to hide your troops?
what about having the ability to perform your units to lay down in these area's?
also what about maps that have sinking sand this would come as a great shock!!!!if you lost a full unit because of this.obviously make them random and naked to the eye.just a few ideas.the more idea's the better,maybe the people upstairs will take note!!!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I like the idea of soft ground very much. In battle against heavy, invincible knights it would be a good tactic to lure them onto a swamp etc.
For instance there is a legend that Russian King Alexandr Nevski defeated 10.000 crusaders when the ice of the Paipus-lake gave in. Research however, indicates that there was only a skirmish however.
I think those are grand ideas. Why not casualties as a result of terrain.
What do you think of disease while playing? Perhaps casualties during peace time as a result of plague (not plaque) and the like. Hurling diseased corpses over castle walls to win a seige while suffering only one casualty. Don't forget to brush and floss!

A thing i read about with Saladins fear/respect for the Templar Knights, he wouldnt battle them unless he had 10 to 1 vs them....so i hope the moral thing is better inplanted in CTW(TW2) http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif

I'm still very keen on the idea of quicksand.

PC Gamer has not updated its site for more than a week!
PC Gamer does not get to Australia for about 6 weeks!
We are still waiting for more information from Totalwar.com! (Given their track record & the fact that Warlord has just been released I'm not expecting anything in a hurry.)

I have one fear...I bought Cossacks awhile back for a more simmy european shogun and was rather dissapointed. I hope crusader total war isn't like that!
you know, there's a DEMO of Cossacks you could have tried before bying it... hehehe...

Anyone seen the Crusader pictures online anywhere yet? The PC Gamer site can't even get an image of their own front page on their site 3 weeks after the magazine was published?
I figure this is kind a redundent lads,but has any one have info on Crusaders,pics,anything?...

Clink, it is not because i am not trying !!!! i can't find anything. The only info i have is that the guy who worked on morale in the original game is back for crusaders ( he did not work on the warlords edition)
And also there is ONE picture on CA site here (left side) but with no info:

Like i said before,i stick with the idea of swamps...or quick sand great for trapping units no matter what the honour...
If these are placed at random for whatever map u choose will imo make the game much more interesting,and use them as traps if used well http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
