Only 1 Strategic Map for MTW?

I was surprised to see from the latest screen samples that MTW was only going to have a single strategic map. Given the large area & period covered by the game I had expected a number of different strategic maps to cover specific periods/scenarios in detail eg. Crusades, 100 years war, …

Does anyone think that a single strategic map is adequate for MTW?

The others will probably be covered like the 3 unifier campaigns and the Kublai Khan mission campaign.

I think that map would be zoomed/changed in according to the faction you choose.
