The new official Medieval: Total War site is up! Now it is direct link from Totalwar.Com too.

It has some very interesting things about the game + some nice screenshots.

Following STW's and MI's release dates I would bet for Summer 2002.

But since the publisher changed (from EA to Activision) everything can happen.

Tera, the first news we heard was that it would be released summer 2002. But that was not an official statement of a releae date, it was their aim to do so.

It will be later guys. Autumn 2002 is the latest prognosis, but I don't count on anything ealier as winter 2002 myself.

Shogun said over on the .com forums that they will only be announcing the datelater next year so I wonder if they are going for a christmas release which is always a good time to release a game.
