Red zone is a dead zone where one of the players can move their units where the other can't. That can make battles near map edges very deadly cause if one guy sends flankers that way you simply can't block them!!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Don't use only honour, use theforce, too.

Konnichiwa,

I don't like that idea. Without a RedZone we'll get very strong cornercamping. That's worse. And a penalty when using the RedZone is too much of an advantage for the cornercamper too.

What we need is a 3th zone. Red, Orange and Green. Green is the normal playing area, Orange is the current Redzone, one can march units through it, but one can't camp there. The Redzone is a 100% inaccessible area, which can be used to make a scenary/backdrop.

With this 'system', the Orange/Green zone can be flat, giving no advantage to either the defender or the attacker.

sounds good, or line the edges of maps with massive cliffs, would look poor but would do the job. lol.

Konnichiwa,

Cliffs on the edges is not a solution: it will allow very strong cornercamping. And yes, it will look poor on a lot of maps.

Krast thinks the best solution is to avoid maps with high edges.

Put the good defending ground in the middle of the map, not the edges.

Then the red zone doesn't matter, and it is fine as it is.
