Here's the link to the hotfix for patch10 (http://files.filefront.com/RS___110_Hotfixexe/;7544469;/fileinfo.html).

Here's the list of fixed/improvements that are included in the hotfix:

1.Changed animation of Roman Light Infantry to fs_spear
2.Fixed broken Free people Barb Archer texture
3.Fixed misspelled unit name in DMB causing CTD with Free People Pikeman
4.Fixed missing descriptions of Carthage units
5.Changed some Roman Hastati, Principe and Triarii unit cards so they are different colors for the three Republicn Legions. They don't macth the textures, but much easier to tell them apart in-game.
6.Did the same with VE Legions and Veterani cards so they can be distinguished easily.
7. Angel's new stats Version 3.5 included.
8. Completely removed the old 'Greek Swordsman and replaced with a 'Hoplite Sword' from Webbird. Much better units and cards.
9. Numerous small tweaks per player feedback.
10. Included NR's changes to map, especially in Armenian areas.
11. Fixed wrong animation for machimoi_pikemen.
12. Fixed Buggy Roman Legionary Cavalry
13. Renamed Nubian units to 'Nobataen', which is the more historical name.
14. Allowed the recruitment of the 1st cohorts wherever regular cohorts are recruitable.
15. Fixed a bunch of missing\wrong Free People\Slave unit cards.
16. Fixed the text error with various treasury buildings
17. Changed the faction starting location maps for all factions to have a gold border
18. Fixed CTD caused by corrupt Macedonian texture
19. Icon(s) created on users desktop to run the game (The BI.exe shortcut only appears if you have BI installed)
20. An improvement to how projectiles (mainly arrows) function

The hotfix is save game compatable.

Just a word of warning, the installers default location is C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War if rtw is installed in a different location on your computer please make sure to browse to the correct location or the installer won't work.

This is especially important for those running Gold Edition or Eras as these have a different default install location.

If you downloaded the hotfix yesterday please download it again. There is a new version of the hotfix that fixes a CTD caused by a corrupt texture.

Yes indeed anyone who spends their time on creating a mod is worthy of respect even if it turns out imperfect...

I myself have noticed a number of errors when i play ROMA Surrectum, mostly i choose just to ignore them as they dont affect gameplay though i suppose its a little dissapointing to see them, none of us are perfect right...

I myself am a Dr of History, a specialist in the Medieval and Classical period but these mods are made for fun so i see little point in challenging some things i have seen...

However if i list the errors i myself have experienced perhaps the makers can help me sort them out if thats possible...

errors ive experienced with MOD:

1) Formations do not appear to work for me well, for example trying to put units into a column does not work and instead they stretch out in a line (i have not yet tried all formations, but the ones i have look all wrong.)

2) AI generals still insist on charging suicidally into battle, the best example was the other day when the ai formations were 2 miles behind their general who i had to watch helplessly as he charged right into middle of the enemy army, often i feel forced to engage quicker to try and avoid this.

3) Sometimes when i engage enemy and its units the mod team has created their unit tab comes up and theres no details on them the unit name just says unrecognised text or something like that yet i can still see a picture and stats.

4) When engaging the Epirus crew in Southern Italy and you listen to the generals start-battle chat he tells his men we are fighting romans not Pyrrhus.

4) Finally not necessarily an error but i dont really grasp the intention behind the AOR principle, because for example i can only recruit early legionnaires in a captured rebel settlement and thats not realistic historically, none of my italian cities can recruit early legions only Patavium in Northern Italy and thats certainly not how it was in 100BC...

I expect ill find more errors as i play but havent played long enough yet.

I still think its a good mod and you guys have done awesome to undertake it, but if these errors could be corrected even just for my game id appreciate it...

You can post (in a new thread) any glaring historical inaccuracies you have found. Bear in mind this mod is a work in progress and not all factions are historically accurate as of yet, nor will all factions be entirely historically accurate since better playability is a higher priority then historical accuracy, so if a choice between historical accuracy and playability is made it will usually be towards playability.

1) Formations do not appear to work for me well, for example trying to put units into a column does not work and instead they stretch out in a line (i have not yet tried all formations, but the ones i have look all wrong.)

We haven't changed the player formation so those are just the vanilla one, you can alter them yourself if you want, its one of the formations text files.

2) AI generals still insist on charging suicidally into battle, the best example was the other day when the ai formations were 2 miles behind their general who i had to watch helplessly as he charged right into middle of the enemy army, often i feel forced to engage quicker to try and avoid this.

Again this is a vanilla problem not something we can change.

3) Sometimes when i engage enemy and its units the mod team has created their unit tab comes up and theres no details on them the unit name just says unrecognised text or something like that yet i can still see a picture and stats.

Please let us know which faction and which unit (a screenshot is best along with the faction you noticed it with) so we can fix these errors, in most cases its a extra character that has propogated into a file that causing the problems.

4) When engaging the Epirus crew in Southern Italy and you listen to the generals start-battle chat he tells his men we are fighting romans not Pyrrhus.

We haven't changed any of the sounds (so far as I know) so this is just because the Epirus faction is using one of the three Roman slots.

5) Finally not necessarily an error but i dont really grasp the intention behind the AOR principle, because for example i can only recruit early legionnaires in a captured rebel settlement and thats not realistic historically, none of my italian cities can recruit early legions only Patavium in Northern Italy and thats certainly not how it was in 100BC...

Look in the important stuff folder and read the file on Legion AoR it explains where to recruit your legions.
