Do you know if missions can/will be utilized? I mentioned it in another topic, but upon further reflection, it could be a really cool feature for any of the factions: Barcid/Anti-Barcid missions, Missions concerning Roman expansion, pleas for ceasefire from border territories, clearing pirates, demands to kill rebels (failure to do so could result in said territory gaining unrest and possibly rebelling to another faction for protection), etc., etc., ad infinitum.

I think it could be a really cool feature.

In RTW, the Senate missions weren't modable. I don't know how the new missons work in M2TW, but most likely they are the same crazy random missions.

IIRC, the missions are somewhat moddable, in the sense that you can't create new types of missions, but you can modify the targets and payoffs of existing types.

Well, I've read that Kingdoms will have several new mission types, and be the most moddable TW game yet, so modders might just get lucky...
