View Full Version : St. Thomas' Hospital
Background: The St. Thomas' Hospital had been around for many years, it was situated in the small village of Gameroom. Many people have died here,but many had been saved by the physicians that had worked there over the years. But soon the patients of this hospital would be subject to a horrible atrocity not ever seen before in this hospital. A group of evil physicians have come disguised as patients, have been murdering the patients of this little hospital.Most of the staff had fled in fear of the gruesome murders. Only a few still roamed the halls of the hospital.One of the few who stayed was the chief of medicine Ichigo. Ichigo had worked here for many years and wasn't about to let some crazy mad men ruin the good thing he had going there. He would have to get rid of them the only way he could think of...by letting the patients themselves decide who they thought the murdering patients were, since it would be impossible for him to do it since he had only spent merely minutes talking to each of them. Ichigo prayed to God to help him find and kill these murderer's. We will soon find out if he heard Ichigo's prayers...

My initial thoughts were to be 2 Doctors, 1 Detective type role, 3 murderes, and maybe another secret role, but not really sure now. Nothing really extraordinary, but something kinda interesting. I was thinking of giving each role special abilities and I probably will. I'll rework it if I don't get a decent number of people signed up...

yep. every night i PM the mod what kid i get to check out. if the kid happens to have a scalpel, i die. otherwise, i get really happy and get an extra secret lynch vote.
Night 1 Conclusion
Omanes wakes in his hospital bed with his vision swimming; he is completely at ease but he can barely move a muscle in his body, as if he was deep under water. A man in a pure white lab coat is there withdrawing a syringe from Omanes IV drip.
Seeing that Omanes was woken, the "doctor" starts to explain to Omanes what he was doing. The "doctor" tells him "I've given you sodium pentothal." The "doctor" tells Omanes that he has a very important question to ask him and Omanes slightly nods his head.
The "doctor" says, "If the sky were to fall, how would you catch it?"
Omanes is unable to answer the question quickly and this infuriates the "doctor". He quickly grabs another syringe from his coat pocket and injects it into Omanes. The "doctor" explains that he has just injected Omanes with a muscle paralytic, making him unable to scream. Soon after Omanes can't move at all, and his breathing has become labored.
The "doctor" wasting no time at all grabs another syringe from his coat and injects it into Omanes. Instantly Omanes feels a burning sensation throughout his body, and cramping in his chest. Unable to make a sound Omanes lies there in excruciating pain only able to gasp for breath. Half a minute later Omanes is dead, and the "doctor" silently leaves the room with a grin on his face, because he knows he will soon be able to kill again.
Waldinger is lieing in his bed asleep, unaware of the strange man injecting a syringe full of some sort of muscle paralytic into his IV bag. Waldinger starts to feel someone cutting into him, but he can't move a muscle. Waldinger can't do anything not even scream in pain.
This goes on for a while, the strange man just slowly cutting up Waldinger while he's still alive.
He can feel his life fading away from him, just before he dies he hears the man say, "This is what happens when you mess with me."
In the morning Waldinger is found mutilated, but their is one thing that sticks out from this gruesome act. The words
Tu quoque are carved into his chest.
pevergreen is found in his room with his throat slit. It appears he has bled to death...

Actually it was Moros/Gertgregoor who did that; his trademark was to say/write arrivederci with all of his kills. This time, we have Tu quoque (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tu_quoque).
Anyway, hm...
Personally I suspect that at this point, there's at least one mafioso just sitting back, biding his time while watching the town debate.

Yes, but just to remind everyone, you have to be really careful when and how to use kill descriptions in your analysis. The only time I can remember it working was in Mafia IV when I nailed discovery1, and even that was actually pure luck.
It can help to look for regional words and phrases to narrow down the mafia's location; for example, I think it was Sigurd in Mafia VII who pointed out that the word "Bismarck" was used only in the US; sure enough, our mafiosi were American. Beyond that, kill descriptions aren't very useful as evidence; most arguments degenerate into WIFOM.

How do you know a player's a townie or not? I mean, if we didn't lynch anyone, well... We'd never get the bad guys, would we? And one person abstaining can have other persons abtaining which can lead to the bad guys hiding longer because of that.
Lynching innocent townies is the sinew of a Town victory.

If a seemingly innocent member started to take responsibility for the tallying, things could be fixed by the murderous patients. I'd recommend someone checks my tally, I'd imagine there's an error somewhere.

The Tu quoque reference is a debate fallacy that I have been writing about in my article. That and the fact that Waldinger got killed in the first round is indeed a clear reference to me. A clumsy one.
Now who here have access to the Gahzette forum? Only sapi really knows.
I know GH is doing a piece there as is Omanes and CountA.
Right now GH would be my best bet.. Too eagerly placing a vote on my bandwagon, silently hoping I shall walk away from the game.

Craterus was asleep in his bed. When he was woken by a prick in his arm.
A man in a white lab coat was standing beside him with a empty syringe.
Craterus tried to jump up, but he was strapped to the bed with restraints.
The "doctor" laughed, "Did you think I would let you go that easily?"
Craterus, obviously afraid, screamed "What have you put into me??" The "doctor" was amused by the question, "Nothing" Craterus was confused by this answer. "Aren't you going to kill me??" The "doctor" with a large grin on his face responded, "Of course, it will be quick and you shouldn't be in too much pain."
and slowly walked out of the room. At that time Craterus felt a immense pain in his chest. Then his heart stopped beating.

In some games, the non mafia role doesn't get to kill every night but only every second, so that's why we might be seeing 1 kill only: non mafia can't kill tonight and we either got one mafia or one is abstaining.

Warmaster Horus was in a deep sleep that seemed like it would never end. He was dreaming of a far off land with beautiful beaches and women, when suddenly everything went dark. A single ray of light came down from what WH thought must have been the sky. He screamed, "No, don't take me God, I don't wanna..."
Warmaster Horus woke up and stared up at the two bright points of light before his eyes. Wait… no, there was only one point of light; he was seeing double. He squinted and tried to look further. The light was on the end of a pen-shaped device, which was held in a white-gloved hand, which was attached to an arm, which was part of a man wearing goggles and a surgical mask.
WH blinked and shook his head, he couldn’t seem to clear his vision. He watched the man step back and remove a large syringe from an IV drip bag. For a moment WH’s vision cleared enough to make out the label on the syringe: sodium pentothal. Then his vision blurred again and he lost it.
The man in goggles leaned in close. “I know who you are and why you’re here,” he said in a low voice. “You may live if you answer me this question truthfully.”
He stood up and said in a louder, clearer voice: “Quisnam est rector of spinach pie conitor?”
In the back of his mind WH knew his situation was dire, but for some reason all he felt was a complete calm. An irrepressible urge to chuckle rose in his chest. “Hey man,” he said with a snicker, “you’ve got… uh… two really huge noses!” He then burst into hysterical laughter.
The man in goggles quickly raised his gloved hand and covered his nose in embarrassment. Then his eyes narrowed.
“Very well then,” he said, “this is all some kind of joke to you?” From the other side of the hospital room he dragged a large tank with a tube attached. The free end of the tube was attached to a mouth cover, the man in goggles quickly attached this to WH’s face. Instantly he flipped a switch on the tank; a low hissing sound filled the room.
Once again WH’s vision cleared just enough to make out the label on the tank: nitrous oxide. By that time, however, he was too lightheaded to care.
“Who’s laughing now?!” the man shrieked, his eyes wild. “I am! Ah-ha! Ah-ha! Ahhhh-hahahahahaha!!!” For a few minutes, WH found the entire scene completely hilarious. Then his eyes dimmed, and he saw no more. WH's life had faded away.
Hopefully this kill is better written than my last, I had more time with this one.

All I can say is that the kills made tonight are done by the person who didnt kill Pever because the kill description is way longer. If we are lucky then one of the 3 who was killed last night were either mafia or that other role which i cannot recall the name. We better prepare for the worst case scenario that all 3 killers are still out there just incase.

With that said, chances are the mafioso and other roles are hidden somewhere with them rather than with the more active players/ high profile players. Which is why I'd not place a vote on GH. At least not this early in the game.
Therefore my vote would, just like yours, go out to one of the more silent-watching type of player. Which is why I'm going to bounce this question over to Kage.

Like i sayed before.Something doesnt add up in this game. Why first we have three kills and now just one?:dizzy2: Normally if mafia is lynched the other mafioso kills on behalf of both of them. So why there has been only one kill per night. It could be that there is an serial killer of some sort who is making the single kills, but then why wouldnt the mafia kill at all? It seems very unlike to me that they are already dead. Although that would be very lucky for the town. If that really is the case. One last option could be that the mafia players are simply inactive and are not even playing the game, but that sounds very unlikely to me also.:smash:

So, Caius got lynched because he posted to avoid WoG? Nobody noticed that his post was made 4 minutes after Ichigo said: "Caius, post or you will get WoG'ed", so maybe, just maybe, Ichigo has sent a pm to Caius reminding him of the game previously to that post?

Not only did I notice, that was the reason why I voted for him. His quick response suggested that he was interested in and following the game, yet lurking so much that he risked a WoG from it. That's scummy behavior in my book.
A bold town move ... GvI could have been a little afraid of getting attention from the mafia.. ya know, having a pro-town role.
It could have been wise to putting him to the question first.
He could also have had a contra-town role and been lurking all the time to avoid suspicion, there are more contra-town roles than pro-town roles usually except if you see townies as a role.
His quick response, especially if PMed would just mean he was active on the boards all the time but didn't bother posting in here. That said, he's gone now anyway, whether it was him or not, we gotta find the rest of them if the game's not over yet.

Either there's only one killer left out there, and we got lucky in our first few turns, or the mafia/ serial killer forgot to send in their victims. The latter option being the more likely one, as the chance of us lynching two killers in so few turns is a very unlikely achievement.

You signed up for these... proper lives and these games don't mesh well.
The "doctor" entered Crazed Rabbit's room in the dead of night. Being especially quiet as not to wake him, because he didn't want to explain what he was about to do. CR awoke because the "doctor" had stabbed a syringe into him, but he was soon out cold. So, the "doctor" began to do what he planned.
The "doctor" taking so bags full of liquid out of his coat preceded to perform his plan. The "doctor" set up the bags and proceeded to put two IV's into CR puncturing his lungs.
As liquid slowly poured into CR's lungs the "doctor" sat calmly as he watched CR slowly dround to death. The "doctor" thought how much of a genius he was too come up with such a brilliant scheme.
He chuckled with delight as he watched CR gasp for breath after breath awaiting the moment when CR would finally stop breathing. CR's breathing slowly got worse it went from barely noticable to noisy gasps of breath. CR finally stopped breathing much to the "doctor's" amusement.
The "doctor" left the room proud of what he had accomplished, "That's one less patient we have to deal with tomorrow." he thought as he exited the room.

The abrasive sound of wheels squeaking against linoleum tiles caused Gibsonsg91921 to awake from a deep slumber. Almost at once he tried to sit up to ascertain the source of the sound, but he found he couldn’t. Straining his neck, he realized he was strapped to a gurney which was being slowly pushed across the floor.
Squinting his eyes at the light, he realized he was in a sterile-looking surgical room. A man in a white lab coat and goggles was positioning the gurney beneath a large machine which looked like a mess of shielding and circuitry.
“Hey!” he called to the man in goggles. “Hey you! Where the heck am I?”
The man paused for a moment. “You’re in the oncology ward,” he explained. “It’s time we treated that nasty brain tumor of yours.”
“What are you talking about?” Gibson asked. “I don’t have cancer. There must be some mistake; let me go!” He strained against the restraints.
“No,” said the man as he finished positioning the gurney. “You must be delirious; the tumor is pushing on your medulla oblongata. Just to be safe, though, let’s see how you answer this question.”
Leaning in close, the man asked “Does there exist a number that is both odd and equal to the sum of all its proper divisors?”
“What the… what kind of ridiculous question is that?” Gibson asked.
In response, the man simply stood up, shook his head, and flipped a switch on the machine, which immediately began to make a humming sound. He then began turning a knob… and turning, and turning, and turning. A needle gauge on the machine began rising, past the green area and into the red. Red lights on the machine began flashing, and an LED screen lit up with the words “RADIATION LEVELS DANGEROUS.”
“Dude… turn it off!” shouted Gibson. His head began to throb as blackness began to creep around the edges of his vision. Moments later he blacked out completely, never to awake.
