View Full Version : Mini-mafia #2141 [Concluded]

sapi

Not quite generic, and likely not quite balanced :beam:

I'd like 7 players, thanks

The usual mafia rules apply; roles may, or may not, be assigned at random.

1 mafia
1 townie target
3-5 townies
0-2 townies with roles

The mafia achieve victory by posting Kill: townie target at any time during their life, or immediately after their lynch.

The town achieves victory by removing the mafia from their presence.

Signed up (7/7):
Andres
CountArach
Stig
pevergreen
Warmaster Horus
Omanes

I bet Sapi gave him the role of mafia, he seems like a good person for it

Warmaster Horus
10-01-2007, 16:20
Hmmm, we could innocent Stig, as his brutal attitude usually gets him lynched... Then again, it's normal for the mafioso to accuse someone directly like that...

Vote:Ichigo, because he said he would have less time for mafia. And here he is, though, while hosting a game himself.

Never heard of randomly assigning roles?

Vote : Stig

Bad reasoning + blatant retaliation.

Omanes Alexandrapolites
10-01-2007, 16:34
Just to note here, aren't roles in the majority of mafia games assigned at random. If so, then Andres is correct in considering Stig's reasoning to be rather unfounded.

FoS:Omanes, Andres
For not reading the rules completely.

Stig
10-01-2007, 16:55
Why did you vote for yourself at first Omanes?
And later decided to join the Stig bandwagon?

And Andres, your defence is very weak, you almost seem mafia

He voted for himself? :inquisitive:

Omanes Alexandrapolites

It was a moment of sarcastic randomness Stig. I can't really explain it in any other format, sorry.

Unvote: Stig

I really should read the rules much more carefully - I didn't quite notice the bit you quoted during my exceptionally quick skim read. Sorry.

How am I supposed to defend against "I think it's Andres, because I think sapi might have given him a role." ~

I'd like to announce that I'm taking a break from Mafia for a while once I finish my commentary and the two current games. I'm feeling the crush at the moment and am trying to contribute to everything I'm involved in, which means that I'm not really giving 100% to anything right now. I don't like this.

Therefore, please don't invite me to your games. In the words of the great George Costanza: "It's not you, it's me!"

However, I will keep my place on the queue.

GH said that. You said two minutes after:

Me too
I interpret that as less time for mafia.

And Andres... That's the same as your reaction to seeing me send GK a PM at the beginning of my mini.

Csargo
10-01-2007, 18:39
I'd be taking a break

Omanes Alexandrapolites
10-01-2007, 19:26
Hmm, Vote: Warmaster Horus

It seems you are rather obsessed about lynching Ichigo for an trivial and almost unrelated reason - he hadn't posted anything related to the game prior to your vote upon him, so I cannot see any validity in your reasoning. Are you generating pro-townie discussion, or are you attempting to earn yourself an easy lynch?

Warmaster Horus
10-01-2007, 21:03
Pro town discussion generation. Is it any worse than Stig's reason?

Omanes Alexandrapolites
10-01-2007, 21:09
Pro town discussion generation. Is it any worse than Stig's reason? Not really, although it is often better to use an excuse which takes note of another player's in game actions, rather than one which focuses on something mentioned outside of the thread.

Anyhow, Unvote: Warmaster Horus, Vote: CountArach

You haven't said anything since the game began. Any reason for your silence?

Csargo
10-01-2007, 22:39
I would asume that day and night phases are 24 hours since it's not stated in the first post.

I'll Vote:Omanes for no other reason than he doesn't already have a vote.

Phases are not timed, folks - it's a majority decision to lynch (ie, 4 this round).

As per the normal mini-mafia rules, there is no night phase.

Keeping a tally would be appreciated

I want to make it perfectly clear that if someone calls WIFOM on Stig, I will vote them. I am so sick of that phrase...

You haven't said anything since the game began. Any reason for your silence?
Relatives came to stay with us. Took up my last 4-5 days.

So we have to get 4 for a lynch? As far as I can tell there are 3 votes on Stig already, so I say we let him speak in his defence as to why he should not be lynched. Ironically, he is one of those voting, so if he chooses not to talk, I say we lynch him.

No, I voted myself in the hope someone would quickly put a 4th vote on me, as that would have been your mafia.

Warmaster Horus
10-03-2007, 10:17
I do believe the mafioso would be more intelligent than that. However, perhaps... Unvote:Ichigo, Vote:Andres .

Why pever?

Andres
10-03-2007, 10:20
The only posts he made where "In" and "Tally anyone?"...

His lurking draws attention since it is unusual for him. Being the townie target, he shouldn't expose himself like that.

pevergreen
10-03-2007, 10:58
:shifty:

I have been mafia once, in any game. Except for that mini with the breifcases :shame: I played terribly.

Lurking? Maybe :laugh4:

What would you like of me? Reveal who the pro-townie is? But if i tell anyone, how do i know they are townie?

Being the townie target

Warmaster Horus has had bad logic and overall seems to be different

Vote: Warmaster Horus

Stig
10-03-2007, 11:25
Why always the "2 votes gives more pressure than 1" Omanes?

It makes no good sense, yes it might pressure more, however in this game you don't get lynched unless you have 4 votes, so have the most votes does not pressure anyone.

Unvote, vote: Omanes, for bad logic.

Andres
10-03-2007, 11:30
Well, since 2 votes give much pressure according to him:

Unvote : pevergreen ; Vote : Omanes

Warmaster Horus
10-03-2007, 15:34
Meh, bad logic... I forgot you said "only" that.

As for different attitude, look at the other mini-games. I'm really active when the others are less so. And here, the game started, what, 2 days ago?

Besides, today I've had a Economics and Social Sciences (Sciences Economiques et Sociales, pour les francophones) and a maths test, neither of which was quite easy. So I've been busy.

Omanes Alexandrapolites
10-03-2007, 17:29
Why always the "2 votes gives more pressure than 1" Omanes? As with many things, having more than one of something provides an increased benefit. As I have said one vote isn't really enough pressure, and three votes easily allow one final voter to bandwagon the target - we want them to speak rather than end up lynched.

Andres
10-03-2007, 17:33

I think it's either Andres or Stig

pevergreen
10-04-2007, 02:47
I think it isnt Andres.

He mentioned i was the townie target, trying to get me killed in place of it. Too subtle for mafia.

But even so main suspects:
Omanes
Andres (he is that good at this game..)
CountArach (too fast to label me as innocent. which i am. but still)

Vote: Omanes

Omanes Alexandrapolites
10-04-2007, 08:09
I don't quite know how to look at this - pevergreen is talking, which is positive, but in the same instance he is voting without specifying a reason - to me this seems like bandwagoning. Under normal circumstances, I would unvote him, but, for this reason, my vote will remain in place.

Everybody is quiet in this game. I can't talk to myself, can I?

OOC: RL. We bought a house recently, the agreement between parties has already been signed, now we still have to sign the final and official agreement at the notary public (my own employer :dizzy2: ). At the moment our appartement is on sale and we didn't expect to have so many visitors. If all goes well, it shouldn't take too long before it's sold.

You can expect even lower activity from me in December/January, as we will be busy painting and doing some small repairs in the new house. Afterwards we will move, which will be time consuming as well.

EDIT: Don't worry too much though. I have internet acces at work, so I'll still be able to oppress any revolt in the Gameroom to ensure the continuation of my dictatorship
