:gah2: The first one was deleted after 1 and a half hours of work, so this one might not be nearly as good...
The Town:
Temil was once a grand and fine city on the coast of the sea of storms. But, things change. terrible wars and occupations ruined temil, and today it stands as a lowly community on the coast, a far cry from it's splender of yore. Things were going just fine untill 772 of the fourth age*. The ancient house of vallor is trying to regain its former glory, but needs a city to do that. They decided to use temil. However, a gang recently moved from caliem, and has been contesting also over rulership of the town, and their struggles leave many innocent civillians in the crosshairs. After the death of his beloved daughter, the mayor has decided that he should do something to stop this terror. he has formulated a lynch comittee. Far from being a minless riot, he has a voting system, and everybody gets their fair and calm place to speak. maybe now, headway can be made against the mobs.
*the fourth age is the period in Arnamar when technology replaced magic as the most formidable source in the world. Currently, the technology is a good as modern day earth. Both have the same people, as their gods are actually quite close cousins, and each modled a race in their likeness. (Arnamar has not yet discoved the existence of earth, so forget I said anything.)
The Roles:
The House of Vallor
1 scout - can seek out one persons role each night
1 mage - can either protect a fellow house member (the person who tried to kill is left alive) or kill a man with his powers
3 soldiers - can work in groups of three to kill one man each night. after three kills, promoted to officer.
1 Lieutenant - can kill one man each night. after three failed kills, demoted to soldier. So long as he is alive, the lord cannot be killed. 25% chance of evading death.
1 Lord of Vallor - The lord cannot be harmed so long a lieutenant lives. can protect two of his people each night (the person who fails his kill is left alive). 50% chance of evading death. Public role, cannot attand lynch meetings.
The Sorian Mafia:
1 spy - can seek out one persons role each night

The Town:
1 Doctor - can protect a man each night
2 bar employees - can spy with 50% accuracy. 25% chance of getting false roll
1 Bar owner - can hide someone in his bar each night, protecting them and impeding their action.
2 Town Guards - can arrest one man each night. 25% chance of discovering role.
1 Town Officer - can arrest 1 person each night. 75% chance of discovering role. 25% chance of evading death.

Well we dont always need regulars, its always good to play with new members. Look at 'the Castle' that has tons of new players and that game made the player limit. I reckon you can do it Motep, just tell some more people.
Due to real life issues, I am going to have to retire from this mafia game as well as all others from now on. If things settle I'll return, but for now, remove my name from this game. I will also be posting this on The Castle.

I can't believe you haven't gotten 30 players yet. This truly looks like a fun game. I'm trying to cut down on my mafia playing time but this game looks like to much fun to say no to. I probably won't post as much as I have in the past so just keep that in mind.

I agree with Zain, I don't think we will get anymore players than this.

Kal'Motep is trying his very best but I think he has already run out of options. He already has threads in the Entrance Hall, Chapter House, and Mead Hall to recruit people and Andre is advertising the game in his sig. There isn't much more that he can do now.

Because I'm playing a private role. Nobody knows what I'm doing, besides the few I'm allied with. We're killing off demons pretty quick. Do you know if there's a set amount?

okay, as for the game:
Mayor motep was pacing behind the podium. It was already eight, and only three people were there. Now it was 8:01, only four. 8:02, still four. 8:03, still four. Forcing himself to stop, Motep took a look at those meager few assembled in the well lit room. Just the tavern owner, the guard officer, an electrician, and the local drunk...only four, out of the twenty town representatives that were supposed to arrive! These people were chosen randomly from the town, to get an accurate representation of the town, but here we have 19 with the nerve not to show up. It was indeed proven that many of these representatives are mafia, but which ones cannot be made certain, as they landed in from all walks of life. This one of motep's grand experiments, it would make him famous! Those fools from college would cringe at his brilliance now! Cringe!!! Motep, his hands clenched into fists, began pacing again. 8:05, still four. 40 minutes later, all but three of the representatives had arrived, and a moderately disgruntled motep was finally able to start the proceedings, to the relief of those few who arrived on time today, he thought menancingly at those in the room who cant even show up in town hall at 8 am. "As you all know, the mafia has been terrorizing our good town. We must stop them. So, I have brought you all here today to root them out. No longer shall the wretched mafia ravage us, no longer shall we have to suffer." At this, his voice broke, but he quickly regained control of himself. He could never regain his lost daughter, his beloved daughter. Those assembled began murmering tp themselves at Motep's pause, so he continued. "Yes, you will hunt them out. Who better than the people to save the people? You have all been chosen from the town to acurately represent our town's populace. Now, we will negin without any further delay. Officer, bring me the evidence." The hall was really going now, but Motep was too lost in his thoughts to notice. "Elena, my sweet, " he said softly to himself, "I will be with you soon."

Theoretically speaking host will start distributing pms from the order important/ favourite role to minor roles.. If I was a host I will give out mafia to start with.
Since you are the one of the first person who got the pm you have a important role. Unless you claim to be detective then you should be lynched

Now, for the Lynching:
Dr. Shlin XXVIII was having a bad month. He was glad to join the lynch comittee, even though it meant that Susan Johnson had to reschedule her appointment. For you see, he was angry at the mafia. They made him a vaery busy man, and some of his good friends, even his brother, have been killed by the violent gangs. He was forced to treat a gunshot wound in his niece, now that brought tears to the old doctors eyes. So, as he sat there, trying his best to get his fellows to vote honestly (for god's sake, were they just wanting to see a man hang! Any man!) he wondered who was going to bite the bullet. With some conversation early on, he thought the poor man Sarathos was going to die, but talk about him stilled pretty fast, so the doctor did not have a clue who was going to die. The thought never occured that it could be him. Around 4 PM, Shlin settled off into a comfortable nap, only to be rudely awaked about two hours later by the Mayor, who was saying his name into a microphone. Rubbing the grit out his eyes, he heard the mayor cal his name again. Thinking they might be asking to testify, he got on his old feet and hobbled up to the mayor. (I say hobbled because his fot fell asleep on him) When he got there, he was a little frightened that the mayor pulled out a gun, though he quickly dismissed it as that he was preparing to shoot whichever poor soul was selected. It happened to fast for the old man, the mayor twisted his arm, and fired off a round. Dr. Shlin had no time to think they were lynching him, as his thoughts were ended prematurely by the bullet.

FoS-is the Finger of Suspicion
You use it to point out somebody that seems scummy, but you found someone who is even scummier to lynch. Sometimes you can use it to poke fun at people like Beefy did during Day 1. As you may have noticed, the joke backfired and now we're paying the price of losing a protector.
FomS-is the Finger of minor Suspicion
It is similar to the FoS except it usually means a hunch or something else.
I used it b/c since the FoS lynched a townie last phase.
Are we supposed to be voting? Or is this "Night Phase"?

BTW, I forgot to mention...Tiberius of the Drake is the Lord of Vallor, so any hits on him dont count.
Waldin Ger was just getting home from the bar, and there was a reason he was walking the cold and desolate streets, when he could just drive: he was roaring drunk. He admitted to himself after the third time he tripped over a "loose rock" that he may have had one beer too many...or six...or nine. he had always been drinking like this when on leave, though he often does it on duty, as well. Ah well, he was just one drunk soldier, how bad could he screw things up? He stumbled again, but this time, he fell into the arms of a stranger. He was about to mutter a word of thanks, when his throat was gun off by a silenced bullet.
Andres Modman was enjoying the cool night air, much like he did every night. He was walking on the long undefended battlements surrounding the old city, reminiscing on the days of his childhood. He was lost in these thoughts, when they were rudely interrupted by a firblast, which knocked andres clean off the wall and onto the street below. the assasin, thinking he was dead, bolyted off into the night, leaving Andres to groan in agony. He was down, but not out. Fifteen minutes later, he hobbled off to his home: and his first aid kit.
Sir. Brave Robin was coming home from the bar after a long day at work. he didnt particularly enjoy working at the bar, especially after his years of service in his majesties army. Walking to his apartment in the old sector of town, where he would enjoy the peace he only found in his home town. Sighing, he stopped to scratch at his thick, white eyebrow. Okay, face facts, he was old. Very old. 97 years, and he still had to find work in a crappy bar. Why was his eyebrow so itchy!!!Grumbling to himself, he ignored his eyebrow, and walked steadily towards his warm and cozy bed. After a short while, he noticed a man following him, and, upon seeing it was just an old man like himself, except more stooped and haggard looking, he continued on. he was eating his dinner, when a crack outside brought his attention. Staring at the bush through his window, he was wondering why he kept up with defending himself...why couldnt he ask one of these new knights? A squirrell poppped it's head out of the bush, flicking its tail at the old man. With the critter retreating to the safety of the tree, Brave returned to his mashed potatoes (having no teeth to chew a steak...) After finishing his meager meal, he flopped onto his bed to catch some sleep. His eyes only closed however, when a knife pierced his throat, silencing the yell that was attempting to escape.

Draco Nian was enjoying the lynch proceedings...up untill he became the subject. For hours, the finger was steadily pointed at him, and by the time the mayor called him down to be executed, he was rather angry, and ready to kill. He walked meekly to the stage; here would be witnesssed his final act. The mayor pulled out a gun, but before he could fire, Draco jumped out of the way, pulling out his magnum. he took one shot, landing right into the crazed mayors skull, ending his pitiable life. Amazed that he was still alive, he jumped into the crowd, there was no way the made man was going to die now. he wass, howver, caught by four men, Andres, Kom Modus, Vuk Brankovic, and Pever Green. As they wrested him to the ground, the town officer jumped over to him, as one of the guards nervously checked the deceaseed mayor's vital signs. Kom and Vuk were holding down the mans limbs, Pever sat on his chest, while Andres puched his head forward to look at the coming officer. The officer, his face filled with rage, raised his glock to the leveel of the man's head. Andres and paver pulled away as the bullet tore through the man, blowing bits of brain all over the floor...

Well is it day yet or still night?
It is the Day phase after my post.
Pever Green was on his way home from the bar. Admittedly, he enjoyed the beer…and another…and another…and another after that. Seven Total, but over the years he had built up immunity to the stuff. He was semi-drunk, not so drunk that he did not notice the two following him. And what appeared to be another two following one of them. He ducked into a doorway, pulling out his prized Glock45. The first man, who was extremely well dressed, barely ducked the bullet, and jumped back, as the second guy popped out from another direction. Pever fired, but his bullet went off when his target, man 2, who was dressed in what looked to be a military uniform, was shoved out of the way by one of the two other men. Man 1 took out a gun of his own, a silenced PP7 (One Pever had never seen before, but he recognized it from a James Bond movie) and fired after the second man. He was shoved out of the way again, and made a hasty retreat. Pever fired, and once more, the well dressed man dodged the bullet. Aiming the gun his way, the man fired, Pever thought he was meeting his end face to face. But something odd happened. The bullet stopped in tits tracks…right in midair. The man fired again, this bullet meeting the same end. Angered, the man threw his gun at Pever, and it was halted as well. He swung his fist, but it was stopped. Pever, losing his fright, fired a test round at the man coming his way. It went through; the man writhed in pain from the bullet lodged in his leg. Pever fired again, but this time, it was stopped. The well dressed man hobbled away, cursing under his breath, as Pever looked around in awe, never forgetting to grab the PP7 that he had always wanted on his way out.
Kom Modus wound his way through the streets of Temil, making less noise than the shadows upon which he tread. He was hunting, for a man they called Roadkill, whose real name was Roderick Killington. Rod was standing lazily on his porch, a shotgun perched in his hands. He kept a weary eye on his surroundings; a henchman should always be on guard. He was dubbed Roadkill for a reason, for he often literally road shotgun, hunting his own prey. Kom cared little for the petty rivalries of the town, for soon, they would all be dead anyways. As son as he kills the wizard Dorrind, he will regain his original form, to replace the frail and puny human one the wizards of Temil forced upon him nearly 4,000 years ago. But first, he had to lure him out, and luring out that compassionate wretch could be done with killing. That is why he was hunting the one termed "Roadkill". The man was in sight now, and Kom easily crept up upon him. He was literally breathing down the man's neck before he was noticed, and by then it was far too late. His neck was slit, and he was lying facedown upon his porch within moments. Kom Licked the blood off the knife, and slunk once more into the shadows. This time, however, his presence was noted. A gun was pressed up to his head, and Kom felt his first taste of fear. It was the pitiful human don, Matrym Seeker, who was dressed in nice clothes, though they were considerably blood stained. It did not last for long, however, the bullet went cleanly through his head. In death, however, Kom was freed from his prison, and his great, bloated dragon form crushed several blocks. It was nigh on 400 feet long, the great purple dragon was shown to the world for who he truly was at long last. But, purples have a last, nasty surprise in store for those who slay them. They explode. This explosion ripped apart several square miles of the city, killing many thousand who lay in their beds. The explosion was felt as far away as Aryth, it was an explosion that caused many in the Empire of Caliem to crumple to the ground, it caused casualties as far away as Otho. The Great Dragon Kom Finally was granted revenge, for the wizard's conclave collapsed, killing many unfortunate wizards. No one in Temil slept any farther that night….
The Officer sat behind his desk (he replaced the mayor's podium with a desk), and surveyed the people as they shuffled into the hall. It sure wasn’t dark in the hall this day; the east wall had collapsed during the night, along with much of the ancient royal compound. There were far less people here today than there were just a few days ago, and that frightened the stolid man almost as much as the explosion, of which he barely survived, being in the jails. The facility had collapsed as well, crushing a few good officers, and some bad inmates, but those were men who had nothing to do with the lynch meetings, which the man seriously considered closing for the day. All those assembled, the officer cleared his throat, and raised himself from his seat. "As you all know, last night was night of horror. A third of our town was wiped clean, and the same for the population." Gazing around, the man made a few quick calculations. "It appears that some of us were not so lucky. Modus, Killington, and Seeker, all known criminals. Modus, we have so far determined, must have been the source of the explosion, but we don’t know how. We have our best wizards working on it. Killington has been identified as the culprit "Roadkill", a henchman of the Sorian mafia. And, as far as we can determine, Seeker was the Don of said mafia. So, some small bit of good has come from the evil of this day, but we cannot lose hope, we cannot lose faith. For when we do, then the evil will truly conquer."

I wouldn't be so confident about your reputation pever... I remember someone lying about his Holmgang ability in The midgard saga.
However you got Draconian right in the last round.. so there is really no reason to doubt you now.
Someone named pever as townguard and as I read the roles in OP, it states that townguards have a 25% chance of investigating correctly. At the same time they block the ability of their arrestant (assumption).
As we read the kill descriptions, we see there is an attempt on pever this night. Obviously he is protected - the bullets stopping in the air. His assailant is also protected. This makes me reconsider. Pever can't be townguard because the doctor is dead. Pever must be the scout of the house of Vallor. They have a mage that can protect, but he can only protect those in the house of Vallor. The scout can detect roles with 100% accuracy.
The Lord of Vallor can also protect, but again the restriction is within the house of Vallor.
Then there is the possibility that he is the town officer. 75% chance of discovering role and 25% chance of evading death. If pever is the town officer, he has been damn lucky with the dice.

Ah now that game was blasted for me. I did actually delete my role pm, so it was coming from memory. The Fight value i posted was a point or two over my actual one, but i couldnt remember my correct one.

And you assume Andres is innocent... Well I am not going to reveal my role. I think Andres is trying a ruse to see how I would act. It could very well be that either Beefy, Sarathos, Vuk or all of them are guilty. But we should at least get some good argumentation for these suspictions. All I can read is hearsay and supposed investigations.

I don't know... to me it seems he is diverting attention from Sarathos. Why not make sure Sarathos gets the noose this round. If pevergreen is right, Sarathos is the only mafiosi that are able to kill left. The Don, Made and now the mage. I doubt the remainder of the mafia have any real power. What can they do? they are one henchman short of making a kill and then there is the spy. I am assuming here that Motep has followed the role outline in the OP.
So I am asking why are Zain wasting a vote on me? The next thing you know.. Sarathos might not get lynched at all.

Hahahah!!! just caught up on everything that has been happening. What is funny is that I wanted to keep SeekerDK alive because he's a cool guy and this was his first mafia game.
Basically, short of something really random happening I doubt that the house of Vallor will lose. I think this game was made to hard for the mafia.

Anyway, I throw my support-from-beyond-the-grave behind the town, since the House of Vallor is pretty powerful in this game and has only lost one soldier. I'll try re-reading the thread when I get the chance.
For now, I'd say lynching Sarathos is a pretty safe bet. But I wouldn't necessarily trust pevergreen completely yet; he's almost as likely to be Vallor as town.
EDIT: Oh yeah BSR, sorry for killing you. :shame:
