i see loads of guys pining for the old stw mp (and im one of them!) so does anyone want to play it ? is the fakeserver still up and running ? or do people mstly play the stw mod for vi ?

I still keep the fakeserver running. There're hardly any people, though.
It's quite pointless to just log on, because the chances to accidentally meet someone are next to none.
If you want to play you either need to make an appointment with someone or just install our mod for VI. On sundays, 19:00 GMT, you'll certainly meet at least 4 players with 8 to 10 max. A small but nice group. You'll be welcome.

The players using fakeserver were playing STW/MI v1.02. STWmod for MTW/VI recreates, as much as possible, the gameplay of old STW v1.12. It's doesn't recreate it exactly because the battle engines are slightly different. Also, we elected to include a gun unit that is 50% better than the musket of STW v1.12, keep the naginata cav and battlefield ninja from STW/MI and added the hatamoto that is useful as the general's unit.

We are drawing enough players to have 4v4 battles on Sundays. We start at about 19:00 gmt, and play for about 5 hours.
