View Full Version : Everything Happens in the Wild West - Large Mafia Game
Welcome everyone!
As you may know, my name is Caius, and I am a regular mafia player and hoster. My last idea was Teh Oldie Town, which was victory of the town. There were horrible flaws in that game, as the mafioso could survive despite the low points he had in streghent(sp?). Finally, kamikhaan killed shlin28 in the third attempt.
There was a lack of role, and lack of participation. But I gave the role of sheriff to kamikhaan, who had an investigator role. He discovered shlin in round one.
Now, a large mafia game can be hosted. This means that the whole game will have changes. I will add more roles to this game. I will add changes to the lynches.
I. Roles:
Townie
You are a townie in the town. You lived all your life in this town, you have your kids, your wife or husband and your very own house. For defensive events, you own a gun, and will to survive. You will be distracted by the recent events of the town, and you will have to stay in town if the town needs you.
Miner
Even though you live in the town, you work in the mines near home. You have to work there to live, and that means that you wont be in home always.
Miner Hijacker
There is a hijacker of mines working in the mines. That person want to buy the mines, and he will destroy the mines and kill the miners to make them leave the town.
Sheriff
Pro-town role. You are the reccently appointed sheriff, and you will have your assistant. You are an important person in the town, you have to keep the law and order in the town, arresting every single person that you think he might be doing some suspicious activity.
The People hater (Serial Killer)
You are a Serial Killer, a person and camel hater. Your first aim is to kill everyone, without distinguishing what are them. You must kill.
Tavern Owner
You own the local tavern since ever. Its the most visited place at night. You know who visits it. So you can know who was there.
The good Vigilante
Pro-town vigilante, which can choose to kill one person each pair turns (2,4,6,8,10 and so goes on).
The Bad Vigilante
Pro-Mafia vigilante, which can choose to kill one person each impar turns (1,3,5,7,9).
The Experienced Detective
Pro-Town Detective, which aims to find the mafia as soon as he can. He is an excelent detective.
The Unexperienced Detective
Pro-Town Detective, this person is newbie in investigations.
Special Roles
There will be 2. May help the town, may help the town to destroy itself. You never know.
II. Lynching:
Normal lynching (the one who gets more votes is dead at end of the day will be kept. In addition to the normal lynching, there will be a duel between 2 players that could be mafiosos. They will shoot one bullet. Results will be informed in the same post. One of the duelists can die, so be careful when you choose.
III. Abilities:
Everyone will have 10 points. You get them randomized:
Velocity (how fast you can draw your gun):
Strengenth (this will allow you to survive):
Aim(this will allow you to hit the other):
IV. Threads
There will be two threads for this game. More info coming soon (awaiting response for Andres)

The Detective investigates, the action will happen but he will be watching it
The Sheriff arrests, investigates what that person did and then he will be set free (but announced in the thread)
The tavern owner will have no night choice, he has to work in the tavern every night. He can't do nothing, but if a person kills someone who just happen to enter the tavern, he will get the names.

It will be randomized.
But if anyone, whether they kill or not, can go to the tavarn, that makes the bar role obselete doesnt it?

So, why would any townie choose NOT to go to the tavern every night? Seems like a system that would make it impossible for a killer to remain hidden.

I will delete that role and the tavern.
So, There will be 1 mafiosi and the sheriff. The Sheriff can arrest a person each night sending a PM, the mafiosi kills at night.
This is taking a bit too long...
Please, can this game start? If it doesn't within 24 hours, then this thread will be closed and the next in the queue can start sign-up phase for his game.

FactionHeir was looking outside the window. IT seemed to be a similar night, only some light of the moon, some wind visiting the town. That night, the same moon popped up in the sky, the same wind visited the town. But there was someone outside in the window. Barely recognizable, FactionHeir tried to identify without any sucess the stranger out there.
The stranger was there, quiet, didnt move any finger. It looked like a statue. FactionHeir, thinking that he was seeing an object and not a person, went to sleep.
He dreamt about angels. He went to Heaven.

Asking if townies get PM's means you are trying to be townie which means you are mafia.
This is getting a little more of time thanks to the players who arent playing.
It took while before the game finally started. Some people probably think this game died. It might be a good idea to send pm's to every participant, just to let them know that the game they signed up for a while ago, started.

There is a feeling shared in the town. Anger. Fury. A person is gone in the town. Its always a shame losing someone who has not done anything to be killed. Some people think it must happen, but others dont think that. FactionHeir was murdered yesterday, and someone was! That wasn't a suicide, that was a murder. Someone has to pay, and the people of the town agreed that Sarathos was. Some people discussed, but looks like Sarathos is the person who killed FactionHeir.
The bells of the town rang. It was the hour. There is no more time. Sarathos is scared. He is screaming, saying things about not being guilty, that he wasn't the killed, that he didnt have a gun.
But the town didnt show any sign of mercy. They were sure that Sarathos was the killer. They took their guns, but I, the sheriff, asked for a minute of silence. Everyone agreed, then I said:
We, the inhabitants of this lonely town, found you, yes, you Sarathos, the person who killed FactionHeir. Night is arriving, and your time has come. May the destinity tell us if we did the right thing!
*bang*
I shot. The bullet was directed at his heart. He fell without resistance. He was bleeding, and the rest of the townies was looking at Sarathos and how he was bleeding.
Good night all.
Everyone left the meeting, and head directly to their homes. There was someone who took another path to his home. peverpink.
peverpink in fact, never head to his home. He tried to head to his home, but something that look like a pink camel was there.
The curiosity killed the camel. And peverpink.

Busy weekend but grizz has returned!

Town needs to get organised here... seem to be getting picked off 1 by 1 without any discussion.... our only hope at the moment seems to be accidently stumbling into a lynch of the assassin, i am going to withold my vote for the moment and see if some discussion can help my choose a lynch...

Nothing obvious here... a mention of camels but i don't think we have any camel lovers in the game anyway.... the camel died anyway, not the actions of a camel lover...

I guess its dead again...
Activity in Mafia VIII is low, small mafia games take a while to get enough players, this game suffers of lack of activity.
