If so, that’s too bad. I saw a few posts by the developers indicated that MTR is either dead or postponed. Anyone still checking this forum?

yeah, what's going on here? mdaa... i think that it is not dead, but there are a lot of problems...and other misunderstandings, but we are all believe that MTR still alive!

iirc somebody, a while ago, was asking permission to take over MTR. pity to see it got abandoned like this... some realism for MIITW wouldnt hurt.

Only worthless people abandon a great idea midway through. RTR kicked ass, and M2+Realism=Best game ever.
No one has to ask permission to pick this project up. Just do it, and I hope you do a great job.

Now after 2 years i have the Complete Byzantine Unit Roster in my disposal but i think selfish wont let anyone else to participate!

I know it's VII or 7.0 now. So how is VII treating you? I'm sure it'll be great. Platinum 1.9 is still one of my alltime favs. I mean, I've tried EB, it just wasn't for me.
TIC I've regretably not indulged myself into yet.

Gotta agree with the consensus here. I'm still on RTR 6 Platinum, but RTR is by far my favorite mod of all time. And you know what'd be more awesome? A medieval: total realism mod, with a totally accurate representation of the real factions that actually existed in 1180.
Man, if I had a team of committed folks I'd get this off the ground myself, that's how passionate I am on the subject. Sadly, I only know the history, and I don't know anything about game programming.

Absolutely :yes:, especially since Broken Crescent was only for the East and Stainless Steel, well, it was meh.

Whats wrong with good old Stainless Steel? AS far as I know it is the only half-decent MTW mod...
Deus lo vult and SS r the best mods for Med2. SS for combat, dlv for campaign.

I have to respectfully disagree, second-best mod, EB is IMO far better. That being said, some realism for MTW would not be too bad, though I have yet to try S.S. and D.I.V.
*Goes to do that while still waving an EB banner*
BTW, RTR is a great mod, EB is just better. Would it not be an idea to merge the Teams and perhaps get EB II finished the faster with the added resources? RTR team has proven themselves worthy of inclusion...
