Here's a new hotfix for RS 1.5:

Here is the link to the fixes:

As always, install into whatever your RTW directory is named.

I tried very hard to make this save game compatible. If you are involved in a current campaign, remove all units from any recruitment cues you may have going, quit RTW and install these fixes.

The following issues have been addressed:

.Fixed Legion AOR.
.Made a few interface changes and fixed really distracting Egyptian Interface.
.Fixed a missing 'merc' texture that was 'probably' causing a CTD in the east.
.Changed the animation from a buggy one for a bunch of Greek units that WAS causing a CTD.
.Cherry has fixed several map issues with rivers and roads, and removed the landbridge at the Crimea.
.Decreased the town size of Mediolanium and Patavium so the AI won't have Imperial Palaces there so fast.
.Fixed '1' turn files and removed ALL population growth factors from it, so that building the population buildings will be the only way to get population bonuses.
.Reduced population growth considerably in the '0' turn game because the AI does use the buildings to avantage...sometimes, too much advantage.
.Increased cost on a lot of 'elite' units, and upkeep on ALL units except Romans, which was already higher than anyone's.
.Increased the cost and upkeep of the 'out-of-Italy' Republican and VE units...they will cost much more than they do in Italy now.
.Removed some starting units from Pergamon, and added pallisades to Seleucid's eastern-most cities.
.Set most factions at war with Free people's factions, as I observed this seemed to hurt factions more than help them. It also tends to make expansion more 'symmetrical'....rather than factions tending to follow idiotic paths of regions that are slave regions.
.Fixed two missing Iberian units from recruitment, and redid their recruitment and Carthages through the trees.
.Reduced ALL slinger and archer ammo...in some cases as much as half what they had. Eastern 'horse culture' nations still have more, but half what they did.
.Gave Seleucid and Pontus slightly better economic numbers.
.Slightly increased armor and shield settings on barbarians, as I didn't feel they were as much a challenge as previously, also did some work on Greek units to make them better.
.Fixed a couple 'low stat' issues with Bosporan and Greek Generals.
.Reversed the stats of Scutarii and Iberian Swordsman to reflect that the latter is better.
.Fixed missing ship unit cards for some greek factions.
.Added a 'merc_archer' that becomes available with the first legions in Italy (before the 'Imperial Reforms'). It is a Barbarian Auxilia Archer that is recruitable only in Cisalpine Gaul and Venetia. That should console the Roman fans who miss archers so much. And it made no sense to have NO archers available when Named and Numbered Legions were becoming recruitable.
.Included a fix from Squid for the 'faction leader disinherited bug'.
.Removed 'colonists' from recruitment, as the AI was recruiting them, and they are no longer necessary with the re-population buildings.
.Included Burn's X-mas present Romans.
.Changed praetorian Legion II so it has a different texture and unit cards.
.Fixed 'veterani' so their skin matches unit cards.
.Fixed Byzantine Hoplite recruitment.
.Changed Italian Rep. Legions to a more historical 'off-white' look. Outside Italy, the Rep. Legions (II & III) remain different colors.
.Fixed an errant river going thru a town and causing an exit error.
.Fixed two towns in the north both with same name.
