    It's Over

And just like that, the bell tolls and the voting comes to an end. I'm proud to present the finalists who made it through the rigorous process of elimination, all of the submissions were truly fantastic and narrowing it down was quite hard. SO hard, apparently, that we ended up with a couple of ties!

A big thanks to everyone who has participated, from the artists to those who cast their vote. We wouldn't have gotten this far without you, and now without further procrastination...

This is the kinda thing that makes the org, and the total war community at large, such a great place. Fantastic work all around!

The finalists will now be forwarded to the judges, staffed entirely by members from Creative Assembly, and a winner will be chosen to recieve their signed copy of Napoleon: Total War - Imperial Edition.

Another week has come and gone here at the .Org, it seems September is just flying by. But before it all ends lets do a double-take to see what you might be missing!

GeneralHankerchief is recruiting for the largest Mafia game of the year, a massive list of 50 members is going to be supported for War in Heaven. War in Heaven is a Gameroom spin on the classic Paradise Lost. Are you new to Mafia's or never stopped in the Gameroom? What better chance than to get in on what is sure to be a memorable experience! Head over to the official thread to get an idea of what's in store. 30 slots are already claimed, so act now!

The wishlist for S2TW Multiplayer, collected over several forums, is growing by the day. Magyar Khan and others have been fostering a great discussion on what may improve the TW MP experience and its well worth your time to read.

The Concept Art Competition has at long last reached its conclusion and the vote is over. The top 5 submissions will be forwarded on to CA for judging, great work to all those who took part! We look forward to more interaction between the .Org and CA on this level in the future.

Clans are sharpening their swords and polishing their armor getting ready for the release of Shogun2.

    One way to get in some quality battle time is to join in the now open Napoleon Total War;

Clan Wars Competition –Top Team Tournament XXVII - Autumn 2010 Championship

This contest will be 32 Clan Teams in a 3v3, seeded, one Battle per Round, knock-out Championship.

To the best of my knowledge this Clan Team single battle knock-out, is the first contest of its kind.

As the result of our last competition, we have a Clan Team ranking ladder of those Clan Teams who completed that contest (just now finishing).

These Clan Teams will be the individual hosts of a new competition where they will set the map and conditions of each of the single battle matches, and then take on the responsibility as Attacker in that battle.

The challenger assigned will defend according to our rules, and the winning Clan Team will proceed to the next round.

It is highly possible for a winning challenger to become a host and set the map and conditions for battles in future rounds.

Any of the 3v3 capable maps may be used except Grassy Flatlands, and all parameters of each individual battle will be posted in advance.

This process will continue every three weeks until there is a single winning Champion Clan Team.

This contest will also produce a point system ladder to provide the seed order for our next contest, hopefully in Shogun2.

If you have any questions please see the Autumn Rules first, and if more explanation is needed, post on our Autumn Discussion forum.

Creative Assembly continues their media rounds with two new interveiws given out in the last week. Unfortunately, CA is sticking to their guns with their vague nature, so you won't see much in the way of new info. However, there's a number of clues dropped for the observant!

First up is a video interview taken at PAX, which has only recently surfaced. In it, CA continues to reiterate their stance on AI. Toward the end they tease something in regards to multiplayer, wonder what it is?

Second is a written Q and A session with Nowgamer. This one is even more vague than the PAX interview, but hidden in the talk - MP campaign is returning? Still too early to tell.

Lastly, a new member spotted screenshots displayed on a Turkish TW fansite that many have not seen before! Be sure to check them out. My favorite? The one showing fog of war blending into a parchment map, linked below.

All wonderful things must, at some point, reach their end. Such is the case today as our Wallpaper/Concept Art competition has at last reached its final phase where we turn to you, our community, for opinions. Who do you think deserves to win? You can cast your vote in this thread.

I'd just like extend one last thanks to those who entered as well as all those who showed support and offered feedback during the competition. The voters have their work cut out for them, that's for sure!

CA has finally let loose some screens of Shogun 2's campaign map in action to IGN, as well as a load of information in regards to them. You can get a good look at the screens both at the official article and at the thread in the Dojo II. Discussion's already started so don't forget to weigh in and tell us what you think!

A few things going down this morning in the Dojo II in regards to the community:

First up we have the runoff (and final) naming poll in regards to Dojo II. Only two choices remain! Head over to the poll and check it out.

Secondly, the Concept Art Competition is wrapping up and only 3 days remain to submit your entries. If you have plans to enter or are still putting the finishing touches on your submission then now is the time to get it done. Once the submission phase has concluded no late entries will be considered. Thus far an incredible amount of entries have been put forward and we are extremely pleased by the community's reaction, check out the submission thread to see the competition!

We reported some time ago that IGN was gathering up questions to bombard CA with in the search for answers, the results of which have finally been revealed! Unfortunately, due to the early state of the game, many of the answers given are a bit on the vague side. Still, there's a couple interesting bits of information present in the article. Head over to IGN and see if you can find out what I mean!

Discussion is already taking place about this story in the Dojo II, don't forget to check that out as well.

Things have been incredibly quiet on the Shoggy 2 front since gamescom concluded (and even before then), but witha bang CA's come out swinging with a flurry of new media! First off we have three brand new screenshots released onto the internet as of yesterday, one of which i'll post here!

To see the other two, head over to our official Shogun 2 screenshot thread in the Dojo II and join the discussion.

CraigTW of Creative Assembly dropped by and posted a link to a new battle report video detailing some new gameplay footage. You might be thinking you've seen this before, and you're right. It's the battle from Gamescom. However, the quality is much better and two CA devs give off-screen commentary detailing a great many things going on. Enjoy the 6 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay!
