Two bros graduating

Today one of my brothers graduates, and Saturday my other brother does. Out of a family of six children, five will have graduated by Saturday, and the last one by next semester. Not bad for a family that had a hard time putting boots on its kids feet during Wisconsin winters, even though my dad worked 3 jobs at once for a good part of his life. America still is a place where anything is possible.

Hello, I am unable to save new games on my Mac, and can only play a Sauromatae game that came with Evropa Barbarorvm.While I am pursuing a solution on the Mac help thread, I was wondering if someone might simply be willing to pass me a .sav file for a just-started Seleukid game--that is, if anyone could start a new game (set to Easy Campaign, Medium Battle difficulty, and allow manual construction), save, and pass me the file somehow. If so, I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate being able to play EB again.

Hello Im going to write this mini AAR before i go back to my Seleucid one. This is KH as Syracuse on H/M. I just went off to a bad start so i mite start writing this tomorrow. I had a shocking game just then were i got all of my FMs and army on the ships but then the Macedonians, Seleucid and a random Pirate fleet attacked my fleet and sunk it killing all my FMs and ending my campaign right there >.<

So I am thinking of doing another reading contest.

The past month I have been discovering for the first time the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes on my Kindle since it was free in the public domain. I kind of want to incorporate my newly found love for the series with a summer reading contest that will start when I get off from uni around June.

The problem is that not many people really participated in my last contest. Maybe because it stretched on too long. I would like some hints or tips or suggestions from people on how to generate a lot of buzz and participation for the next contest.

Do civil war rebels ever rejoin your faction?

I was playing Welsh in Viking era, Caravel mod. I had a civil war and backed my king. My main stack in Wessex went rebel, so I pulled out the only loyal unit and let them have the province. Elsewhere, I had loyal troops only or else fought the rebels and won.

Next turn, I looked at Wessex, and the rebel stack was dark green and loyal again. I think the leader of that stack was the leader of the rebellion (i.e., would have been my king if I had backed the rebels), but I'm not completely sure because there were a couple of generals around called Iago.

I haven't had a MTW civil war in ages, so I don't really remember. Is stuff like that supposed to happen?

We have enabled a new thread rating system. It's very simple. Rate a thread using the little interface on the right-hand section at the top a thread. Ratings are averaged out across the number of votes. You can see how many people have rated a topic on this same interface. Any thread with a minimum of one user rating will display a star icon on the forum index.

Feedback would be appreciated. We can tweak the system, change the icons, or disable it again as requested.

Please note: if people start spamming 1 and 10 star ratings all over the place we will probably disable the system again. We want it to be useful. By all means, rate threads as 1 or 10, just not every single thread you see.

Empire: Total War--Used to Run but Won't Run Now

I'm Indy. Greetings from Canada!!! I hope this finds you and yours well.

I'm writing you as not such a happy gamer. I paid for the Empire and Napoleon Total War bundle from Steam, and things were going greats there for a while until yesterday when Empire started refusing to play and kept crashing to the desktop. I know it works for I have to get a troop of British soldiers to take over Savannah, Georgia from the Cherokee. Since I'm a relative noob at buying and downloading games online, what did I do to Empire to make it stop playing? By the by, Napoleon is still working like a charm!!!!

I love these two games a lot and, for the $30 I paid for the bundle, I would like to have both games working!!!!

We have an interesting case in Sweden now.

A translator got arrested for having child porn on his computer. This turned out to be manga, and he worked translating it and trying to spread it in Sweden.

Of course, only some 50 of the hundreds and hundreds of cartoons found were seen as child porn, but, enough to have him arrested and sentenced. This case has now gone to the next level in the juridical system.

I added that picture because that is one that the prosecution now has removed as evidence, but originally used against him.

This all started out with a pissed of ex btw.

It's a persistent mod set in the zombie apocalypse where you fight zombies and other humans to survive, in a giant ARMA II map. You plop into the multiplayer world with a pistol and some food. There are people out there; some might try to help, others might kill you just to steal your meager supplies. If you die you lose everything you've gained. If you log out then log back in, you return to the same spot with the same gear you had.

Hi Guys!

Was wondering what other games you guys have enjoyed over the years, has some game caught your eye like MTW?
My other personnel favourites are: Silent Hunter 3, Darkest Hour, (a new HOI2 game,) Galactic Civilizations 2, Civilization 3 and Mount and Blade.

I'm sure this is probably the wrong forum,(so if it has to be moved that's ok!) But am asking here to specifically find out what other MTW players like. That way we may get some good strategy, games or games where we have to think lol!

Imperial campaign on RTW, BI and ALEX at the same time?

Hello, I'm trying to make a campaign available as an imperial campaign (well, not as a provincial campaign rather) on every exe at once, without having to change files.

It works when it's not modfoldered, using -mod: for BI and -noalexander for Alex.
The problem is with modfoldered campaigns in BI, as I have to use -mod:my_campaign for BI, which results in a provincial campaign.

Is there a way to keep only one set of files, and use imperial campaign in every exe?

Arcade Wipe

The Arcade is quite old, and it has a large number of bugs and other issues with it. In addition, many of the games have high scores locked into them that are so high it's essentially impossible to beat them. For these reasons, the TAs propose to wipe the entire thing, including scores, and replace it with an entirely new system. This has been discussed informally both publicly and privately, but we feel like we need to provide a solid public notice about this proposed plan of action. So, please vote in this poll to let us know how you feel about wiping the entire thing and starting from scratch.
