GENPEI WAR MOD.zip
This mod will allow you to play a new scenario based on the Genpei War
Ive changed text files , Province images , and icons all around the game
the only unchanged ( important ) thing are the Clan crests in the daimyo selectio
menu , simply they were too big , i would have lost hours tryng to change them
Ive added two little .mpgs for you pleasure ... epecially the end one ...
Multiplayer games are still fully playable , the only problem is that you cant see a previous
of the map you are going to play ( if a classic one ) but any epert player know them just by the name
Remember that you game last as the life of your daimyo ... so dont waste time tryng to 'build'a Geisha ...
Beware that uninstalling the mod you will remove files that are necessary for the game to run !!
if you want to go back to the old graphic ( not that you need it for pratical reasons cos the game remain exaclty the same !! )
you have to unzip the files from the little ZIP named original files leaving the path names on ( In that way you will not restore old province images
and the 2 mpgs used )

This SETUP program will install the STW-Swap utility and the stat files (troopstats.txt and projectiles.txt) for the 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, and 1.05 patches of Shogun Total War/Warlord Edition, Mongol Invasions.
You MUST install these files to your main SHOGUN game folder. In the window following the next, you MUST browse to your SHOGUN main game folder before continuing with this install.
The STW-Swap.bat utility was modified from the 1.02 Statswapper by Togakure O'Jonin (Toga), a member of the Masterless (www.aggony.org). Thanks to all at www.totalwar.org who were involved in the development of the original 1.02 swapper, and for the 1.03 and 1.05 stats as well.

GothmogSPEdition.zip
Dear STW fellows:
First many thanks to the STW-developing team and our SwordDojo community!
This mod is specifically designed for single player of Shogun Total War, Warlord Edition/Mongol Invasion, it is NOT meant for on-line play.
The package contains two sets of Stats (“SPStandard” and “SPBloodLust”), and the “No-Geisha” mod.
There is also an excel spreadsheet file called “TroopstatsComparison”. It lists both SPStandard and 1.0.2 data for easy comparison. For each unit, the first row is SPStandard data, while the second one is of 1.0.2 version.
***********************************************************************
The “SPStandard” is modified based on 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 data, with numerous changes. To name a few:
1) Japanese Heavy Cavalry now has fewer men (12 in 60 men setting), lower morale, but is given higher attack power, higher turning speed, better running and charging speed.
The new HC is essentially the elite guards of Daimyo and Taisho (I highly recommend you to “assign” HC heirs or "train" HC generals only, thus adding a bit role-playing flavor). Do NOT use those guards as fodder; for in spite of their combat prowess, a unit of disciplined Yari Samurai can decimate them easily!
With altered HC stats, AI Daimyos are now harder to kill, and tend to be less foolhardy in the battlefield. A general who knows fear is formidable indeed, for he is wise enough to escape from the temporary defeat and come back later with a vengeance.
2) Increased the turning speed of YC and NC to improve their maneuverability. Each of the three “main stream” cavalry units (CA, YC, NC) has its own strength and weakness and can play its distinct role. CA provides the mounted missile support, YC excels in its speed and Yari bonus versus other cavalry, and NC is the main shock cavalry. Notice I didn’t increase the Naginata Cavalry’s defense and armor. Unlike medieval Europe, the tank-like cavalry was never widely used in feudal Japan.
3) Reduced the turning speed of Yari troops and Naginata to reflect the clumsiness of their long weapon or heavy armor. However, the penalties are not as severe as in 1.0.3.
4) Musket unit is made weaker than before. Now the projectile itself needs more time to reload, and is less accurate. Musketeers also carry less ammo. Their melee ability is intact though.
5) Mongol light cavalry and heavy cavalry are restored to 60 men per unit. The spacing between neighbors are adjusted accordingly.
To install “SPStandard”, copy the files (“troopstats.txt” and “projectiles.txt”) in the “SPStandard” folder into the main STW directory. It’s recommended that you backup your original “troopstats.txt” and “projectiles.txt” files before hand.
***********************************************************************
The “SPBloodLust” is very similar to “SPStandard”. With one exception: morale. Normal troops have 4 more morale points than their counterparts in “SPStandard”, Japanese or Mongols. The Japanese HC has 2 more morale point than the JHC in “SPStandard”.
To install “SPBloodLust”, copy the files (“troopstats.txt” and “projectiles.txt”) in the “SPBloodLust” folder into the main STW directory. It’s recommended that you backup your original “troopstats.txt” and “projectiles.txt” files before hand.
***********************************************************************
The “No-Geisha” mod will force the AI factions to make a powerful “No-Geisha” oath, keeping them from building Geisha house entirely. This not only gets rid of the unrealistic Geisha unit, but also allows the AI to concentrate more resource on building combat troops instead of wasting 8 turns on one petite woman. An honorable player like you of course will NOT abuse this mod by building your own Geisha. There is also rumor that, once you conduct such an treacherous act, the AI fractions are no longer bound by their “No-Geisha” oath.
To install “No-Geisha”, copy the files (“building_choice.txt”) in the “No-Geisha” folder into the main STW directory. It’s recommended that you backup your original “building_choice.txt” file before hand.
You can use this “No-Geisha” mod with ANY set of troop/projectile stats.

Naginata Image Set Version 1.4
Read This File Carefully BEFORE you run the Replacement Image Set file
History
v1.5 Software Emulation Images Created
v1.4 figured out the low resolution image problems, and solved, software mode in still not available at this time.
v1.3 fixed an addressing error. Edited the ReadMe File
v1.2 found a workaround for the 'disappearing/reappearing' row
v1.1 fixed an addressing error.
v1.0 basic construction finished
Future Possibilities
Tracking down all the errant pixels that cause colour bands to appear on low res images.
Tracking down all the errant pixels that cause occasional speckling on battle flags (again mostly a low res issue).
This Pack will work with any current version of STW : Warlords Edition and Mongol Invasion.
At this date this includes all variants up to 1.03beta
It changes no stats, simply image files and the text files that control those images.
This is, and will always be a beta pack.
Suggestions for enhancement are always welcome.
---
I have always been annoyed at the 'new look' Naganita,
Both the use of Yari Samurai to represent Naginata on the Battlefield and the image displayed during army selection, and on the Battle 'Cards' at the bottom of the screen during battle.
Personally I think the image resembles a clown.
Using Yari Samurai to represent the Naginata takes away some of the favour of the game.
The files contained in this set replace the 'clown' with the original STW icons for the Naganita Unit.
They also replace the Naginata unit on the battlefield with Images sets from the Original Naginata unit.
The installer for the Replacement Pack Also creates a Restore pack in this folder, named, simply, Restore.exe.
(If you haven't installed the pack yet the folder will be called > Naginata ReadMe < and will be located in the main Warlords directory)
The Restore Pack will replace all the changes I have made with a copy of the files that shipped with STW Warlords Edition/Mongol Invasion.
* Recommended *
If you wish to be paranoid, as i would,
then The Following files should be renamed
Add .bak to the end of the file
IE:- panelmen4.bif becomes panelmen4.bif.bak
Go to the Directory where you installed Warlords,
mine is D:\Games\Warlords\

NOTE:- Do not change Die.txt - this file is NOT affected by this modification !!! -:NOTE
FOLDER > textures\Men\SamS
FILE :- SamS_H.bif
FILE :- SamS.bif
FILE :- Sams.lbm
Known Issues:-
This set replaces the High Resolution and Low Resolution Images. Also Included since v1.5 Software Emulation Image Fix.
Pallette differences between STW and WE/ME will cause minor speckling on some of the Naginata flags during play. I have tried to keep this to a minimum, but too many changes between warlords and STW for me to track down all the errant pixels.
Weapons may also inherit your flag clour, usually in bands across the weapon, this is MOST noticeable on the low resolution images.
NOTES :- Version 1.4 - 24 June 2002
The number of image sets available to the program to display Yari Samurai has been reduced, you may observe unusual visual effects from time to time. The same with the Naginata.
These may appear to be standing side on, or at odd angles to what you may expect.
This is normal for this Replacement Pack, there is nothing wrong, just a reduced number of images available to the software to display these units.
Naginata may appear to be slightly smaller than we remember them from STW - they are, this is a software issue that i can do nothing about. The full size images were used during construction of the replacement bif-files, but the program 'scales' the images up or down slightly as required.
The program appears to have a very specific maximum size for each image and forces the image to that size.
(You may have noticed that WM's are slightly shorter than Yari Sam's - this is caused by the software)
I will test this fully at a later date, We may be able to use this to advantage for future mods, small images are forced UP to the correct size, thus you could fit 3 full sets of images into the SamS_H.bif file providing detail is not an issue.
For this particular release getting as much detail as possible WAS an issue.
To fit the Naginata in I had to halve the number of images of Yari Sam available to the program.
For many of the Naginata themselves i had to trim shadows, some battle flags, and occaisionally a few pixels off the top of their weapons. (largerst cut 12 pixels - hey the weapons are up to 40 pixels above the heads of the Naginata themselves !)
For a couple of the images one frame would be excessively large, and so was 'dropped' from the sequence.
For one of the dying scenes I could not get a suitable image to fit in the remaining space, so the last 3 frames are a 'posthumously promoted' Yari Sam, complete with Naginata Armour.
Notes :- Version 1.5 - 4 July 2002
In a recent Large Scale battle online I spotted some anomolies creeping in, old version Naginata appearing as the the battle drew to a close.
Investigation revealed that once the number of images required for displaying the dead on the battlefield exceeded a certain quantity STW:WE/MI 'switched' to displaying the Ultra Low Resolution lbm files (the Software Emulation images).
It would appear that CA have not quite figured out how to get Graphics cards to report the amount of free video memory to the program correctly.
I tested a new Sams.lbm for Software Emulation, It is apparent the the (*unit-type*)Page.txt files control all 3 Image Sets, HighRes, LowRes and Ultra-LowRes.
Credits :-
The LBM files were modified using gfx2b965 LBM editor, which is available from the Org.
The BIF files were modififed using readbif21 BIF reader/editor, also available from the Org.
I used mspaint to store the'frames' extracted from the bif file's and to modify the Naginata to fit inside the limited space of the bif.file.
Also mspaint helped with editing and creating lbm files.
gfx2b965 can convert freely between these bmp and lbm file types.

This is a full installer that also includes a setup for the dependencies.
This zip does only contain the program:
VanyaStatExe.zip
Within the program folder, create a folder named 'STATS'.
Within it, create a folder for each set of stats and place the stat files within.
DO NOT ALTER THE NAME OF STAT FILES! The file names MUST match the originals.
Every time a stat is swapped, a backup of the current versions in the game folder
is backed up to the 'BACKUP' directory within the program folder. If this folder does
not exist, it will be created; so you don't have to create it unless you want to.
A description.txt file can be included to add a descriptive field to each stat set.
The stat folder names are treated as the "name" of the stat set.
You can make as many Stats as you want!
Happy modding!
If you have any questions or issues regarding this program, please post comments in the
Editing/Mods forum at www.totalwar.org.

T_Ds_TroopMods1.zip
Shogun: Total War Mongol Invasion and Warlord Edition 1.0 only.
The Daimyo's "Campaign Balancers" and "Super Troopers" mods
by The Daimyo
Miaowara Daidoji
http://www.planettotalwar.com
!!!Remember to back up your TroopStats.txt file before copying this mod over it!!!!
If you don't, or you forget...
There's a fresh unmodified copy of the TroopStats.txt in the folder "BackUpStats", that's included with this Mod Pack. You can use it to restore your file any time you like.
Installation:
Unzip this anywhere you like. The mods themselves you will have to enable and disable manually.
Just copy and paste a "TroopStats.txt" file into your "Shogun - Total War - Warlord Edition" folder from the Mod folder that you want to use..
ie.
c:\program files\total war\Shogun - Total War - Warlord Edition
You'll then be asked if you want to replace the file with the same name but a different date, click yes.
This mod only works 1 way, presently:
# 1- You can play against the computer. Both sides or just one side will have units with modified values depending on which Mod you are using. You can only use one at a time. You can change them out however and whenever you like, provided you aren't in a battle.
Trying to play online with a modified TroopStats.txt file will crash your games!!!! No cheating in other words. If you try to, it will drop you out of the game, or it won't allow players to synchronize with your game.
Good Luck and Have fun! If you need more mods, maps, or you need help with anything related to Shogun Total War PLEASE VISIT PlanetTotalWar.com!
Enjoy!

The Mods:
All Troops Tough! v.1.0 - Balancer
All Of the units will be stronger, faster, more accurate, and carry more ammunition.
Equalized the Cavalry units on both sides and I also raised the speed and attack abilities of certain units so that they aren't as pathetic as usual.
Modified All Archer and Gun units significantly enough to all ow them to shoot for longer, and to be more accurate. Their unit honor and the number of bullets or arrows was modified so you can get more out of them. Now these units be a lot more effective!
This is the first version of this mod. The next one will include a modified text that will make all the missle troops more deadly accurate and able to shoot farther!
Hojo Troops Tough! - Balancer
All of the Japanese Units have been modified to allow them a better chance at defeating the oppressively tough Mongols. This mod is best used when you play AS THE MONGOLS. This will make if more challenging for you to defeat the poorly led Hojo armies. I don't suggest playing as the Hojo with this mod installed.
You'll notice that the Japanese cavalry are now just as effective as the Mongol cavalry, but they are not the same. There are still slight differences between the units which should keep things interesting.
Modified all Archer and Gun units significantly enough to allow them to shoot for longer, and to be more accurate. Their unit honor and the number of bullets or arrows was modified so you can get more out of them. Now these units be a lot more effective!
This is the first version of this mod. The next one will include a modified text that will make all the missle troops more deadly and able to shoot farther!
Mongol Troops, Even Tougher! - Balancer
All of the Mongol Units have been modified to allow them a better chance at defeating you. This mod is best used when you play AS THE JAPANESE (HOJO). This will make if more challenging for you to defeat the poorly led AI armies. I don't suggest playing as the Mongols with this mod installed.
You'll notice that the Mongol Melee Units are now just as effective as the Japanese Melee Units, but they are not the same. There are still slight differences between the units which should keep things interesting.
Super Archers!
Modified All Archer/Bow carrying units significantly enough to allow them to shoot for longer, and to be more accurate. Their unit honor and the number of arrows was modified so you can get more out of them. Now these units be a lot more effective!
They are also much stronger in melee (close combat).
This is the first version of this mod. The next one will include a modified text that will make all the missle troops more deadly and able to shoot farther!
Super Bombers!
The Korean ThunberBombers are the new super unit here. They have better stats than ever, all around. They also carry more grenades and are as fast Ninjas! Since they normally get killed too easily I made them capable fighters for hand to hand combat as well. ;^)
Super Guns!
Modified All Gun units significantly enough to all ow them to shoot for longer, and to be more accurate. Their unit honor and the number of bullets was modified so you can get more out of them. Now these units be a lot more effective!
This is the first version of this mod. The next one will include a modified text that will make all the missle troops more deadly and able to shoot farther!
Super Horses!
All of the cavalry units have been made faster, stronger, and more capable in all areas. Also, to balance this out, I've made the Spear carrying units a tad stronger, faster, and more capable fighters as well. Mongols and Japanese units alike are modified.
Super Missles!
Modified All Archer and Gun units significantly enough to all ow them to shoot for longer, and to be more accurate. Their unit honor and the number of bullets or arrows was modified so you can get more out of them. Now these units be a lot more effective!
This is the first version of this mod. The next one will include a modified text that will make all the missle troops more deadly and able to shoot farther!
Super Ninjas!
This simple mod makes a huge difference in how you're going to treat Ninjas on the battlefield! They are now much tougher in a fight, run faster, and can give a Kensai a hard time! Remember though, the Enemy AI may use them as well! ;^)
Super Swords!
The No Dachi units are changed all over, making them almost as deadly as the Kensai unit. Now you can use these units to stop all sorts of other tough units. Their only betters may be the Ninja and Kensai units in one on one battle. This should make battles more interesting for all sides involved.
All Troops Tough! v.1.2 - Tougher All Over! - Balancer

More coming soon!!!
