Sorry guys, that's all I can get at the moment. I'm completely brain dead. Anyone got any ideas where else I can search? ie I've searched the NBA, NHL, tennis tour, boxing circuit and am trying my best to avoid the big football leagues for easily recogniseable players.
Re: The EB Face Database: Faces Required For EBII!
Thanks guys for all these pics, they really help to improve EB2.

Re: The EB Face Database: Faces Required For EBII!
Finally got round to updating the first post (sorry about the delay Tux!), but I've still got this last page of postss to put in.
Really great respose guys, I'm glad to see you lot kept them coming in during my absence.
Re: The EB Face Database: Faces Required For EBII!
I noticed in the Southern Europe section you've got faces from Chile, USA and Colombia. Shall I start searching for South American faces (obviously those who have an obvious connection to Europe)? I'm guessing we may use a lot of Spanish South Americans as Southern Europeans? Also on a similar note, would you like faces from the Australian/New Zealand rubgy and football leagues? The general background/ancestry of most people are from the UK, Northern Europe in the database. Otherwise I'll just keep doing what I was doing before :)

Hey Monkian I think your photo doesn't fit the requirements?

-the picture should have an resolution of at least 240*300(of the head area);
-there shouldn't any lights that light only part of the face;
-the angle on which you view the face should be straight; (
Some optional requierments:
-they should have their mouth closed
-eyes should be open
EDIT: I think the size is fine, you just need to look straight at the camera with your eyes open and with a straight face.

Also concerning the mouth requirement, big smiles are a no no as they distort the face, meaning the skins would come out all weird even with the mouth redone.

Yes you can do that but i'd prefer we stick around the EB map region. If there is a particularly good picture then by all means post it here but just be careful with the subject.

Doh, I seem to be intoxicated in most of my photos - hense the closed eyes and distorted face :laugh4:
Even though Im 28 in hindsight Im probably a little too baby faced to be a Celt warrior.
Are you going to be using any of our photos for character's portraits ?
Re: The EB Face Database: Faces Required For EBII!
There are no plans to that I'm aware of, currently they're used in making unit skins and will probably see use as ancillaries pictures but you never know.

Yes he is right, if you really want to increase the chance of your face being used in EB2 you better provide the best pic possible. We won't spend time recreating the mouth, eyes, etc. just to use that pic compared to another which just needs to be cropped and some small changes.

The plan is to use a portrait generator, that I will be working on, to generate portraits using the unit models and skins.
This should a produce a big amount of portraits and unique ones.
