NB, Cecil hasn't recorded the sacking florins from Milan. Your Reichsmarschall should have another 3k or so to spend. Just a heads-up for you so you can recruit if necessary.

I've pinpointed the timing of the disappearance to between Leopold and Heinrich's battles. Since this was during the AI turns, I'm ruling it as a defection, not a bug.
What an oddly shaped HRE.
Hmmm, attempt to whittle down a nearly all horse archer army over a few sallies, or wait them out and hope their numerical superiority leads them to stupidly assaulting with said nearly all HA army...
The Reichsmarshall is headed in that direction and should be able to get there in ~2-3 seasons,
erm, are only austrians still playing this game?
Huzzah!!
We win!
If that is the case I say we hold a vote to rename it the Holy Austrian Empire.
More like The Holy Margravate plus the fools to the south.
Everyone, I'm sorry to say that after a lot of thinking I've come to conclusion that I just don't have the time necessary to give to V&V. It's unfortunate, but real life is demanding more and more of my time. I'm grateful that so many people where willing to give the game a try, and I hope that it was as worthwhile for everyone as it was for me.
All that being said, I'd like to end things with a bang. Who's interested in a nice PvP war?
Totally understandable. I mean, hell, the Margrave's old and would soon die anyway, and after that, what would be the point in going on? Thanks for the time you put in, Cecil. It's been a lot of fun.
Ba-da-bing, ba-da-BOOM! You're talking my kind of language now. How would you do it, though? Will you go by the present situation and pit me against the world, or will you switch things around to give my enemies a fighting chance? :wink3:Quote:

Everyone having complete control of their settlement income was a agreat idea, although it seemed like it was tough on the gm.
I'm up for a pvp battle, although with most avatars being Austrians it would be tough to have even sides. We could have the Prince rebelling against the Emperor, although I'm not sure that's very in character.
I too had a great time and completely understand the situation Cecil. I would be up for pvp but wouldn't feel cheated without it. This game will give me good memories (except of the margrave) :) and I hope to get another opportunity for a game like it.
Thank you cecil!
Thanks for all your hard work Cecil! I had a great time and it has inspired me to try other games like this in the future.
It's a shame it has to end but to be honest I'd probably favor just letting it go without a pvp battle. It just doesn't seem convincing to me that these characters in this situation would suddenly turn on each other. Unless it's all against the Margrave which would hardly be fair.
Echoing the others above, thanks for everything you've done in the past year, Cecil!
If we really do want a PvP, I could just have the Kaiser go bat:daisy: crazy, he's kind of been building up to it for a while anyway. :laugh4: We can work on further justifications from there.
If we decide a pvp doesn't make sense maybe each of us could do a short story on their character's thoughts as the game comes to a close?
Upon further reflection, I've decided not to end things with a PvP war. Some time in the future I would like to test the V&V rules in a smaller, more less open-ended scenario like the King of the Franks game, but that won't be for a while now.
Everyone, thank you for your kind words. Again, I'm thankful for the time everyone put into playing this game. As most of you are probably aware, there is another TW RPG running called Kings of the Nile, and I encourage everyone to join it if you're still anxious to participate in this unique type of game.
Finally, I encourage you all to contribute a final story for your characters, either working alone or together. Thank you everyone!
