Mods and multiplayer ?

Are mods compatible with MP?

In the thread about Samurai Archers in this same subforum, I had the idea to mod Samurai Archers to 120 men per unit (ie the same as Ashigaru.) A change I might be able to do with my small yet growing understanding of S2 modding. Such change would let us test the strength of units on a man to man basis.
Or field units twice as numerous as normal and see if there's any impact on their morale; does morale drop with a number of men killed or a percentage of them?
