Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Great mod, does with Fire and Sword mean using their units etc?
BTW, its a faction not a fraction. A fraction is like 1/2... I'm correcting your post, along with some other minor grammatical errors.

Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Interesting idea, quite original. It's a beautiful banner you've got at the bottom there in your signature as well. Unfortunately it's about 35K when the forum rules only allow 10.24k so I'm afraid you'll probably have to either make it smaller or lose some of the quality which (considering it's mainly red) is going to be tough.
You can find the rules for signature sizes here.

2 Myrddraal Thanks a lot for corrected mistakes. My English is pretty bad. I’m sorry.
>>>does with Fire and Sword mean using their units etc?
What do you mean? Mod dedicated to epoch described in the book of Senkevich "Ogniem i mieczem". In particular national liberation war of Khmelnitskiy, to campaigns of cossacks and so on...

I am sorry for the sizes of a banner. I have not thought of it. Has already reduced up to 10kb.

Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Those Russian Foreign Pikemen and Foreign Musketeers... (looks realy good btw) Why is "foreign" in their name? Are they not ethnical Russians?
-
Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Just a small point...you've forgotten Austria-Hungary/the Habsburg Empire...
-
Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
My mistake! Just missed out Hungary, which at the time behaved very autonomously and would probably be worth including as separate. Aside from that, an interesting/unusual time period and a wonderful look to the models.

Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
2 Radier:
In Russian they refer to "nemeckie". It were the regular hired troups collected from foreigners: germen, dutchs, scots and other. They were the true dogs of war had rich battle experience. They served for a good payment. And many of them have remained in Russia for ever.
2 RedCoat
Austria-Hungary is in our game.Look the list of factions. It is one of the strongest factions. It owns dynasty of Habsburgs.

Hungary still behaved very autonomously, and came close to independence on several occasions. I believe it was independent at the beginning of this time period as well...
-
Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
I will correct the list slightly - Ronin - I believe I can do this ? ~;)

« Rzeczpospolita - or Poland »,
Faction « Sejm and King of Poland - 'Sejm' is polish parliament »,
Faction " Wisniowieccy" - grand dukes of Ukraine, a powerful noble family in Ukraine,
Faction " Radziwill " - grand dukes of Lithuania and Belarus i.e. Grand Duchy of Lithuania the junior partner of the Commonwealth,
Faction " Zamojscy" - an important noble house in Poland at that time.
Culture « the Western Christians »
Faction « the Princedom of Transylvania » - i.e HUNGARY
Faction " Venice "
Faction " Habsburgs "
Faction " Prussia-Brandenburg "
Faction « Swedish Kingdom »
Faction " Duchy Kurland " - a vassal of Poland at that time,

Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
That's a good idea, as Translyvania and Wallachia were controlled by Hungary at the time why not just change the whole thing to Hungary?
-
Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
I wasn't proposing anything, but only making it more understandable, at that time there was no Hungary as such and Wallachia, Transylvania and even Moldavia were partly Hungarian and partly Romanian + a large part of Hungary was included to the Habsburg empire ( Croatia, Slovakia and a part of 'core' Hungary).
It is quite complicated, but rather ralistic, I hope you will really like the mod - I am one of advisiors of Sad Ronin's team ~D
Cheers Cegorach/Hetman ~

Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Ah well, that's not what I was told in history lectures...Hungary at the time controlled a large part of the Carpathian Basin and there was a large ethnically Hungarian population in Translyvania, Serbia, Romania and Croatia. I believe it did exist as a nation, and that the cities of Buda and Pest were thriving metrapolisi.

It depends what YEAR do you mean, the mod starts in 1569 ( Polish-Lithuanian union in Lublin) as far as I remember, so Hungary were already conquered by the Ottomans.

Re : Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
Well, easily the most beautiful and most detailled skins all around.
-
Re: Ogniem i Mieczem: Total War (With Fire and Sword:TW)
I love the detail on the Ukranian Hetman and the Rzephospolita(?) Hetman, can this detail be seen in game? Also how long have you been texturing for? They look very proffesional.
