Magic and Spells

Along with wizards, sorcerers and what not, I was wondering the following:

• How will the different spells will be implemented?
• Ok what about the ones that aren't magic missiles?
• Will spellcasters be single (wo)man units with a little extra HP or will there be small parties of them?
• Can we expect to see wizards firing cows (like the Trebuchet in vanilla)?
• Can we ever expect to see black holes opening up on the battlefield that annihilate friend and foe alike?

Thanks for any info.

My guess, based on the limitations of the engine that I'm aware of, is that the most we can expect is powerful ranged attacks mimicing archers or siege engines, perhaps more accurate. Still, planting the equivelent of a flaming trebuchet shot with almost 100% accuracy? Done and done.
