Re: WoT: We're struggling
Yes, even if I do not have the time to work with this anymore, and will not have in a very long time, I still support you, in everything you do and I really hope you will find modders who can do the work I previously did.
Re: WoT: We're struggling
This is an odd coincidence. I was planning on PMing you today about this. Anyway.
On second thought ill pm you anyway. So check your pm box if you havent already.

Re: WoT: We're struggling
Im very sad to hear this Myrddraal.I hope i could help out someway, but we are drowning in work also in our project.:sweatdrop:It would be sad to see all of your guys work to go in waste.~:(
Re: WoT: We're struggling
Yep,
We're drowning in work too.
There are just too many good modders spread too thin. A wise course of action would be to complete 10 mods rather than have 100 half finished; but alas everyone wants to do their own...
I am concerned that unless mergers occur much work will be wasted across the board.
And a full-conversion non-historical mod is the heaviest work of all! Unless mods have a team of at least 8 dedicated members it is unlikely such projects will be completed any time soon (if ever).
I like Wheel of Time and I would probably have joined had it not been for the Fourth Age. I do hope it does not fail. Even if the goals must be scaled down to a few factions. It is better to have a finished 20% than a 70% finished whole that can never be released. Have you thought about going provincial - i.e. focusing on a section of the map with a smallselection of factions, traits, etc...?
Re: WoT: We're struggling
I certainly am glad to see mods helping each other along, the recent case of AoVaF and Byzantium is just one example for which I was especially grateful. I greatly appreciate the huge amount of time people put in developing complete modifications but it should not be forgotten that reputations can be as easily made with smaller component parts which can then be used by others in personal games and compiled for larger public releases - the Mundus Magnus map, Darth Formations, various talent skin artists are just a few examples that leap immediately to mind. At some point (ie, not to drag this thread off topic) we should probably have a discussion looking back on the way the RTW modding community developed - where it went well, where it didn't, what can be corrected and what lessons can be taken for the future.

I've been looking forward to this for months :shame:
Re: WoT: We're struggling
I was looking forward to this more than A Memory of Light!
Re: WoT: We're struggling
I second Werthead. Personally, the WOT series has beocme quite boring for me, and I was hoping this would breathe fresh air into it for me.
Sigh.
Re: WoT: We're struggling
I might be able to edit text files and skin a little with gimp. I don't have 3ds max though. :shame: PM me if you want me to help.
School can get hectic so I don't know how much I'll be able to help.
Sincerely,
The Walrus

Please please please continue with this mod Its such a good and solid concept. and your work on it looks great. a small release ( lol small in comparison to some but i know its still a huge ammount of work) for RTW would be great and would tide me over to MTW2 mod. :laugh4:
