Need help with Unit names

Hello all. I am just beginning to learn how to mod ETW. I have successfully created a new ship in the game. I am calling it the USS Pennsylvania. I used the American Heavy first rate as a template for creating the Pennsylvania. It is working fine in all respects except for one. When I use the unit in a battle it is still being assigned names that would be assigned to the American Heavy first rate class. Does anyone know how the names are assigned in the game? I would like to get it so that only the name USS Pennsylvania is assigned in much the same was as the Constitution special unit can only ever be assigned the name constitution. TO this point though I have not been able to figure out how the game assigns names to units. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
