Similarly, I feel that if you do choose the correct candidate as mafia, early enough, you can increase pressure on that candidate until it reaches a breaking point and you can declare "it's them, or me. Choose!". As townie, your team can generally win without you, but the mafia need every single soul alive that they can get, and those sorts of trades are always disadvantageous to the scums.
Which is why I think many games here might benefit from balancing to accommodate a larger number of mafia. Bussing is a fabulous tactic, but mafia teams on this site are usually too near the edge and/or too uniquely powered to allow it to reach its full potential. I'd like to see a few vanilla games with four mafia of 20, perhaps, rather than two, *with* death reveals to compensate, and see what happens. I'd expect the towns get hammered for a while, until they adjusted.

Re: Gameroom statistics (revisited)
Could always go back to no reveals upon death, only when the game is over. That makes it much harder for the townies to know how well they're doing, or tell who was actually scummier in the exchanges that will happen.

Updated.
Fixed Godfather, part 2 (a 2006 game) which was a Town victory and not a Mafia victory. Fooled again by a fake ending! :sweatdrop:
Instead of a mafia win for Sasaki, Seamus & Husar, it's now a defeat for Csar, GH and Myrddraal as mafia (and a victory for everyone else). That changed quite a few things, notably streak leaders.
Thanks to Csargo for finding this one. :2thumbsup:

You can join The Catilinian Conspiracy here, we're only 4 players so far but it's the only game accepting signups. Not sure why people are not joining this game.

Added The Catilinian Conspiracy.
For the record, Inavi is not in because I don't know how to interpret the game result, who was what, who was alive at the end etc.. Seon chose to leave uncertainties about this and I don't feel like doing the guesswork. If I get a clear answer about the game result, then it will appear in the statistics.

It was never completed. I can't figure which role everyone had, and even less decide who won/lost.

Even with a list of roles, I cannot enter ABZF. This is a statistics database, I cannot work with incomplete information and your game has no winners/losers.

Re: Gameroom statistics (revisited)
On Star Wars, this game is an oddity because 10 players replaced another player after they were killed as a townie. These players are treated as having played 2 games within one.
For example, Sasaki started as a townie, was killed and then replaced CDF as another townie. He ends up with 2 draws for Star Wars (because Town have drawn the game).
Not sure if that's the right way to approach this. In the previous example, I suppose that Sasaki could be awarded only one draw because his two "lives" end up drawing, but it cannot be handled the same way if the result are different (for example, starting as a townie, and replacing as a mafia in the 2nd life, like Chaotix in Lylat Wars). Anyway, like I said, games where players can replace after dying, are an oddity and special cases to handle in a statistical point of view. If someone has a better idea how to approach this, I'd be nice to hear it.

I suggest that when a replacement player had previously died in the same game, that only the first role is counted. I was one of the double-role players, and I personally always felt like my initial role was my real one, even though I played my replacement role longer. The initial role is played for yourself, the replacement role is played to keep the game enjoyable for everyone else, so the initial role should be the one that is counted.

This. I do think players from outside the game to replace should be counted though (like I did in Daggers).

Re: Gameroom statistics (revisited)
agree with sentiments shared above.
only the first role should be counted for statistics purposes, unless they only joined as a replacement to begin with. However, if someone wins the game, they can still say that they have done so. But statistically, they died before winning.
That makes it fair on players who didn't get to replace in, who might have also won if given a second life.

Alright, thanks for the replies. I think it make sense to keep only the first life in this case. I'll make the necessary changes when I have time (not now, busy day).
