I save Edmund Becker.

One of the best pieces of mental gymnastics I was engaged in within the game.

That was the first time I really started looking at rules and the various power structures in place outside the Illuminati. Talking back and forth with Cecil was an excellent series of discussion. I had a really good time trying to bend Becker back into the Duchy...and it was really like "bending" him back in.

I knew we had got an agreement but it was really in name only...but that was all Arnold wanted.

Oh dear..Ramses don't say that...I'll feel really bad if I have to remember who died under my watch...and that includes Johann.

Austria was a real blood bath. It's quite astonishing actually.

Well, I was just thinking of avatars lost to active players while I was Chancellor. Even in the solo game I hate losing a noble in battle unexpectedly, and it's worse when you know there's a person on the other end, plus Johann's death was so strange. Completely out of the blue, NN didn't even get a message during the battle. I tried hard to keep people from facing odds that were too long, but poor Johann caught two of the worst battles during my term.

save Fredericus von Hamburg for being the patriarch of the most eccentric family in KotR. A family that included an angry Teutonic Crusader, a traitor to the Russians, a crazy kid who killed a Pope for the "greater good", a lazy yet lovable Duke, and a moralistic Crusader King with a stick up his rear-end.

That and he had the most non-dramatic death in the history of KotR.
