Moved with the royal army south to take Heirosolmyra (per the Baselius' orders, and I left 2 units there to keep public order), but had to engage the Ptolemaic force to the south in order to reach the city. On the battlefield, most withdrew before even making contact, so most escaped. Battle report later today. Unfortunately, they retreated to Heirosolmyra, making taking the city unfeasable with the current size of the army, so returned to Sidon.

Basileus/Chancellor Report, Autumn 270

Armies.

I'm happy to say that the Army of Satrapy of Persepolis is finally in it's required strength.
Three units of Pandotapoi Phalangitai are in Persepolis.
Two units Pandotapoi Phalangitai, Akontistai and Slinger units are under command of Captain Hegemonides east of Persepolis.
Hippakontistai unit under command of Captain Sophron is on it's way from Chalkis to meet the rest of the Army.

The Army of Satrapy of Parthava still need some cavalry units but they are already recruited and will soon be on it's way to Hekatompylos.
Two units of Pandotapoi Phalangitai under command of Captain Xenon are near Apameia and will arrive to the Hekatompylos very soon.
Two units of Slingers under Captain Apollophanes are north of Hekatompylos.
Prodromoi unit under Captain Telemachos is on it's way from Seleukeia. It will take some time before he get's to Hekatompylos though.
I also included unit of Dahae Riders to the Satraps army but they are currently a bit understrength. I hope it does not matter since Dahae horse archers are good warriors.

Moved Panaitolos Ankyrikos to the Lydian Army just as he wanted.

Sold map information and trade rights to Safot Softim biQarthadast for 1500 mnai.

Offered ceasefire and trade rights to Ptolemaioi if they give Hierosolyma to us.
This is how the governor of that town, Perigenes Bubastites, responded:"An end of war? Perhaps, in the fullness of time. But we see no reason to end the fighting just yet!"

Later our spy found out why he responded the way he did. There is a Ptolemaioi Army south-west of Hierosolyma. It is commanded by Paranomos Philopator and it is quite large! Another Ptolemioi family member is present in that army, Alexandros Traikikos. Current units in that Army: Pandotapoi, Prodromoi, 2 Akontistai, Peltastai, Machimoi Phalangitai, 2 Ioudaioi Taxeis.
If the units from Hierosolyma would join then we will have a mayor threat to our settlements in Syria!

Also I have sent a Hippakontistai unit to Damaskos so perhaps Alexandros Syriakos or Timarchos Anaias Mysiakes could destroy those brigands west of Damaskos. Who ever does that can use the units in Damaskos.

Another season with almost no news. I recruited couple of units and started the change of government in Salamis.

Units to the Parthavan Satraps Army will get there within a year. Two units of Slingers have been moved to the fort outside of Hekatompylos just as ordered.

Ptolemaioi Armies have moved south, perhaps against Petra.

Another Rebel army have spawned near Damaskos. Looks like this one is tougher than the previous one. It is led by a man called Eumenes Sides Pamphylikes.

Moved Attalos Pergamou Mysiakes, Polyxenidos Lykikos, Bithys Nisaias Parthiakes, Arrhenides Gedrosianos, Timarchos Anaias Mysiakes and Alexandros Syriakos near Babylon and Seleukeia. Spawned them their armies that they will control during the Event. Feel free to check your armies! If I let anyone out by mistake then let me know by sending me a PM!
Also none of the persons who joined the Event can't move their avatars during the event!
Added 8902 mnai to the treasure. It's the upkeep cost of the armies.

Moved Asiatikoi Hippakontistai(they belong to Sarpedon Syriakos' RA) to Tarsos. I also moved Syrian Army units from the fort to Tarsos.
Moved Aratos Arethousas Syriakes and the rest of the Syrian Army from Salamis toward Antiocheia (just 1 tile short getting there in this turn!).
Moved Captain Xenon and his 2 units of Pantodapoi Phalangitai towards the fort north of Hekatompylos. The rest of the Parthavan Satrap Army is on their way. Prodromoi unit is little bit west of Apameia and Prodromoi and Asiatikoi Hippakontistai units are north-east of Seleukeia.
Moved Parthian Army to Asaak. Chancellor, please retrain as many units in Parthian Army as possible!

Chancellor Report, Spring 269 BCE

Raised taxes here and there, where possible. The citizens of Hecatompylos has become angry, and I fear we'll have to spend some of our precious money there if we wish to avoid a rebellion. Before I do that I would like Phanias Lydikes to take a look and find the cheapest possible way to solve this. We don't have much mnai to spend.

Moved the majority of my Royal Army into Ipsos for retraining and regrouping. Only the Asiatikoi Hippokontistai have yet to reach my satrapy. Panaitolos Ankyrikos and Theodotas Pisidikes have now arrived at Ipsos as well, but because of housing space, the army had to camp outside of the city. The Parthian Army has also been fully retrained in Asaak.

I have ordered that a proper government should be installed in Sardis.

According to some, the Senatus Populusque Romanus are now the greatest faction on Earth.
