well apparently theres another patch on the way, hopefully there will be a 1.5, there needs to be a 1.5 but they may just get tired after 1.5, depends how much money sega is willing to spend most likely, although hopefully these mini DLC's continue to finance their development, I'm glad that they are waiting on the multiplayer campaign till the AI is better, very good idea IMO

I think the next patch is gonna be like 1.4 part 2(Did I misread what they just told us?). They'll probably bring out a patch 1.5 when NTW comes out with the final changes....hopefully...

The Multiplayer campaign is still yet to come out and that will probably have to have a patch or 2 on release, so there must be at least a couple of patches left maybe even 1.6 or 1.7

Yeah, those are my sentiments. It seems like that they are putting a ton of work into the AI and other campaign improvements. I'm happy now:)

I am still waiting on this developers kit they were meant to be giving us.

There are still some unit changes and what not that they should make!

For one thing, the way Austria was lined up in 1.1 was almost perfect, and I thought they had done a marvelous job of their historical home work...

That is what I get for thinking because they started changing it right away to take rifles form the Austrian Jägers and just made them light infantry with a funny name. They took away the Austrian gunpowder rifle unit and left them only with two air rifle units. They gave them only standard cavalry stats and Grenzers I have never been able to recruit.

Also the fact that Grenzers are not available until machined rifling even though they use muskets seems more than just a tiny bit odd.

Austria always a non-factor in all my games. It sits there, gobbles up a few German states before being gutted by Prussia.

I've found that patch 1.4 has damaged Prussia. They're hostile with a lot of nations, and then sit there for a while until they die out.

OK we have a patch 1.5

And we will have more free maps.

    1 October:

    Dear All,

We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing five new multiplayer maps with the upcoming 1.5 Patch.
These maps are to mark the release of Warpath on the same day and are a thank you for the communities continued support.

To be clear these maps are free with the 1.5 patch, you don't need to purchase Warpath to enjoy them.

    The maps are:

    • Grassy Flatlands - This is a flat, balanced map designed for competetive/tournament play.
    • Austrian Pinnacles - A maze like European landcape with plenty of opportunities to outflank and maneuver around your opponent(s).
    • Syrian Ridge - A desert map with several oasis scattered around and a large sandy hill near the centre to dominate the opposition.
    • Siberian Plateau - A balanced flat snowy tundra map, heavily forested to allow for ambush and conealed fighting.
    • Homestead - An American plains map with several cabin dwellings and low rolling hills with oportunities to seize elevated positions.

All the maps will be enabled for all team sizes - 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4, allowing them all to be played by any number of players.

We hope you enjoy these new additions to Empire's multiplayer experience and we welcome your feedback.

Now back to my Iroquois campaign...

    Kind regards,

    Some fix we can expect.

    7th October:

    Hi guys,

To update you regarding the Special Forces and bonus content issue that owners of the Special Forces edition are currently experiencing, we are currently working on a solution for this with Valve. We still have a couple of hoops and fixes to work through, but we hope to bring a resolution to you shortly.

Thanks for your patience regarding this matter.

Well that’s cool, and pretty quick too!

Maybe I’ll get the Deaths Head Hussars and the Amazons yet.

This seemed to be functional last night. I could not get the SF edition two days ago, but being a sucker for TW that I am I bought it successfully last night.

    Yippy or not

    8th October:

    Hi guys,

The "Special Forces + Bonus content" DLC pack is now free for those who previously purchased the original Special Forces Edition. Customers who own the Special Forces Edition of Empire will automatically receive the bonus content, no action is required. This means the three pre-order units are free for these people.

Special Forces Edition owners who already bought this new DLC will get a refund, and they will enjoy the 3 pre-order units for free. To discuss this, please click here.

    Thanks,

    Mark O'Connell

    Free? Nice one CA.

Yep just checked Steam and there they all are. Very impressive. I must say I'm having a mighty big turnaround in attitude towards CA with the greatness of the latest patch and this nice gesture.

I just had to see you know. So in my current campaign I captured Morocco and there on the recruitment roster are the Dehomey Amazons. I didn't even need to restart the campaign!

    Very Cool CA!

It was better than we hoped for! I think all of us expected to pay something for them, so this is a great surprise.
