    Default The Successor PBM

The first step we need to take if we are going to make a new PBM is to choose what faction it will be as. So choose your option, and we'll go with that.

I am fine with whatever you guys go with. whatever the majority is I will roll with. Though we should get this thing in the planning stage soon.

Can only former players of Wotb vote or can those as well who plan to join the next EBPBM?

Yeah, everyone who wish to play has a vote.

    Alright - I voted.

I think you should "announce" or maybe signal this on the EB main forums as well - maybe others might wish to take part, but don't know of any EBPBM yet. (At least I hardly move outside the EB forums on the Org...)

A PBM is basically a interactive multiplayer campaign. Every person controls there own general, and we all decide how our chosen faction goes about its business and such. You fight with your general, and ect. ect. Thats the basic gist of it. There is a bit more to it then that, but I will go into that latter.

It's about time we had a comeback.

I won't vote for Sweboz since that idea never kicked off. I like the sound of a Baktrian PBM...could try that out.

    I've missed PBMing...God's bless CDF/TCV

Check out the the FAQ in the rules thread: it's explained there in a very lucid and magnificent way. It's quite simple, really.

I think we probably should have had some sort of discussion thread first, where we could have given our reasons for the faction we wanted, then narrowed it down to three or four factions and voted.

Personally I would prefer a KH EBPM, I think the role playing options are tremendous with intrigue between the cities, we could almost play it as if we weren't one united faction and even have different groups within each city.

Lets do the Averni Campaign. This could be interesting, fighting romans, gauls (including ourselves as gauls) for supremacy!

This will be a very interesting game I think.

I will be willing to organize this game with another person as a co-host.

I feel a Gaelic PBM would be rather limited in many respects, though. Wouldn't the king be uberly powerful and his subjects rather underpowered? And the expansion possibilities aren't exactly endless. Not meaning to piss on your fireworks or anything.

Oh, and since the BtSH forum got demolished, haven't we kinda lost all the plans for the Sweboz one we thought up anyway?

Thats why I was thinking of each player being in charge or a group of players incharge of a certain tribe within the faction. each tribe would have their own armies, you could go to war with eachother to solve disputes and such

heho! I'm kind of interested in this too, but have less time around in the next weeks. Will not vote for now but keep an eye on this!
Mb you pm me, when things come to an end. See you,

*oh and edit: arverni is great for roleplay issues! consider a galatian rebellion and a journey by the "wolfrider-tribe starting-fm" ohh and what about pontus? different interestgroups, royalfamily, kappadocians aka old persians, hellenes, galatians! might be interesting to!

That's exactly what my Sweboz idea was. Therefore I would support this. But I still want all the stuff I wrote down, otherwise we'll have to make it all up again...

TC, can I have the BtSH forum back for a couple of minutes...? Please?

Arverni would be much more interesting than Aedui just because they get Galatia, I agree. Still wouldn't vote for them, though. I also feel Pontus is too restricted by their position in the early stages to survive in a PBM. We would need to cheat and/or start later for it to work, I feel.
