Egyptian Campaign:british reinforcements

Just a quick question: is the size of the British army that attacks Alexandria bigger in every difficulty level,because after playing in medium I thought I'd try hard and was suprised by the force of the British army that attacked alexandria,which took me by suprise and totally out of position,as my armies were far away laying siege to mutipile Malemuke cities. Also it the time they attack scripted or is it random as they attacked me earlier than on medium?

There are several stacks that start on Cyprus. I don’t remember the number but it is like between 3 and 6 plus what ever they build.

They don’t always move them all of course but the difficulty setting does not give them a bigger army, it just may prompt them to use more of it.
