It downloaded and when I checked it said there was an update that had some fixes that would be applied when steam is restarted.

It didn’t down load until after 1600 GMT unless they went on daylight time early.

From a quick glance at custom battle, it looks like the French got 6 new units, Britain looks like they just got the German Legion units unlocked.

New French units: Guard Seamen, Guard Polish Lancers, Empress Dragoons, Dutch Grenadiers, Guard Chassuers a Cheval (sp), Dutch Guard Lancers

All very snappy looking I might add, especially the Empress Dragoons. Also the standard Polish Legion unit is unlocked in custom (and presumably multiplayer).

Good Old Steam.... but what's this? It won't get past the opening screen. 67 hours play and only one crash until now

At least when it screwed GTA4 I could install it without Steam.

Ah well, reinstallation time, all 40 minutes of it.

Dude, don't reinstall. It's one of your mods. They changed some of the values and it's not compatible with some mods. Doooooon't dooooooo iiiiiiit!

The culprit was Napoleon Empire Realism latest version, Brig. Graham's music mods seem ok.

Well some one can give us a report on how well the units do when they start to crank them out.

I guess it will take until 1808 or so to get the structures and tech to build them.

But maybe most are in Waterloo. I will have to give that a go soon.

Those are from the official postings of the units.

I doubt that you see that quality on in game close ups, but they will be darn nice anyway.

This game has much enhanced graphics over Empire.

Even when you see the empire unit cards they look childish and crude compared to what NTW has.

The main difference I see is favorable lighting and maybe a higher AA setting than what's available in the game (mine only goes up to 8). But yeah those are definitely in-game graphics and NTW is gorgeous.

There are two more (German) units in GB, but not listed. I will update the list soon.

Those guys are already in the vanilla game. You get "King's German" units from liberating German states as Britain in the campaign. They've just never been recruitable in custom battle/multiplayer before.

The four additional units that you are refering to aren't new, but ones that have previously only been available in the Campaign. For those interested, the additional unlocked units are:

Kings German Legion Dragoons
Kings German Legion Light Dragoons
Kings German Legion Foot
Kings German Legion Light Foot
