One of the Grand Speakers of Rome stands up and gives the latest news to come out of Rome.
The Year is 65 CE or the year of Pomponius and Anicius. We are currently in the Reign of the grand Emperor Nero he who has ruled with great courage and intelligence in this harsh time. We are now entering a glory ago for Rome with the Christians rightfully put in their place following their burning of our fine Capital. Nero has built up many great buildings for the Glory of Rome. However this is not enough for some people and I have being informed that there was to be a plot against our great leaders life. Whilst we do know that there is a plot we do not know who was apart of it. That is what you the people of Rome need to decide who amongst you harbours ill will towards our Emperor and living God. To tell you more about this dastardly crime I present to you the Emperor of Rome Nero.
Emperor Nero stand and begins his Speech the way he begins all his speeches by reciting some rather awful poetry.

Waiting my turn
Standing in the queue,
Popping my name in the urn,
Whose name is pulled out first?
Your emperor’s of course.
Then I sing for three hours flat.
I’m sweating. What a tour de force!
When my teacher signals
To rest my voice, I pause.
My Alexandrian sailors
Start their antiphonal applause.
What artistry!
Who wins first prize?
Whose face is reflected
in a thousand eyes?
No one else is allowed to sing.

My fellow Romans countrymen all I know that some of you wish me ill will this fine day. Under my reign the Empire is at it's strongest we have recovered well from the toxic influence of the Christians and of the hardship suffered under Claudius. I trust that you my fellow Romans ultimately have my well being at the heart of you. Go forth and find out who it is that has ideas to take my position.
In a follow up to my Game the Catiline Conspiracy I bring you the next great moment of Roman History that is fit for a Mafia Game. Whilst this is less well known then Catiline it still has some leading figures of Roman History involved in the situation. Plus there is some confusions as to who was actually involved in it. This will broadly follow the same kind of way as my previous game with some interesting additions.
