Yeah, I'M kinds waiting for the elves/humans group to move on a bit. They're still afternoon D2 while everyone else seems to have moved into the night already. I might just go ahead though and post kind of a status section in the OP to keep track of when and where everyone is.

Gah, I hadn't realised that 'khaan had posted an update until I received a PM from him within the last hour or so regarding Netherworld; rest assured, I'll step up to the plate once I get some freetime... very busy with work currently, but I'll fit it in tomorrow evening hopefully.

To be honest I'm kinda thankful, I've come up with writers block.
The problem is that where the runesmith is doing all these things in exchange for Gilford's teleporting horn, the idea being that he can use it to find a way to create teleport runes, teleporting being realy high level magic in this universe, and become rich by being the only guy in the world that can provide teleport service without using a realy experienced archmage. The problem is I cant think of a way to put that in the story, he's not likely to explain what he wants with the horn to a potential competitor and if I just say he's doing all this for free, well, its almost like cheating.
Though, I guess I could have it where he just takes teh horn as payment with no explanation and add "teleporting dwarf" to the 'things we might come back to later' list.

Yeah I guess he could just demand the horn as payment and Gilford would probably rather give the horn than lose THomas... after all the horn is pretty worthless if Thomas is dead.

I suspect we've all been busy (DE with the final stages of Midgard, khaan kick-starting Netherworld etc) anyway.

A quick re-read shows that currently the conversation has swung back to 'khaan, so I guess err feel free to interrupt?

Thomas wont die without the runes he'll just be armless, though in medieval times I guess it would result in the same thing.

Also I added a Status and Locations section to the OP in all three threads. This way we can keep track of who is when and where. That'll give a little more freedom. We don't need to be in the same timeframe with all the groups necessarily.

Well I sure want to continue. I can understand that some might be busy/blocked at the moment so, as stated somewhere above, please feel free to say if you want to drop out for any reason.

If you still want to continue just try to do your best in getting updates in. I have a hard time setting a rule for this game as to how long it can take to write a reply as I don't want to exclude people who just can't post a long update for some reason. I'm open to any suggestions and ideas.

Well, I haven't posted anything yet either, my characters are kinda standing silently and stuff; a combination of a hectic work schedule and writer's block has kinda impeded any plans I had to post something. :<

Going from DiY's proposed 48 hours I began thinking what would happen after that as expelling someone from the game is both counter-productive and dumb as long as someone wants to play. This is to be fun for everyone and as long as people have fun I don'T see the point in pushing them out of the game.

So what do you think of the following: Usually it's pretty clear who would be up for talking in a situation. If that person doesn't respond until 48 hours after the last post in their group another player in that group can take up the post where it's been left off and fill in whatever the character of the absent player would do/say trying to stay true to the character as much as possible. OF course the character's creator still has the right to change things later on. This would allow us to move on even if a player can't post for a while. What do you think?

As in preferably as a rough guideline, so that the game can be kept moving. Not a deadline with consequences but a rough guideline that with great preference players should adhere to.

On your revised proposal, perhaps with an additional stipulation to not overdo things or just filler, running the risk of diverging from the original intentions of the player. In any case, it all depends on how soon the player is going to be back, I mean if a key decision needs to be made, and developments are made upon it, and suddenly it is revealed to have not been what the player would have decided, that's a lot of editing waiting to happen.
