Ok, I'm having problems with the file uploading system. I've tried to put the file here as an attachment but the first turn is still there taking up 2/3 of the available space preventing this. How can i delete that file? I ended up puting it in the "links and downloads" area but it failed to create a link for the file. can i get some tech support?

Is this the save you uploaded? The forum started giving error messages after the software update but if you click back and refresh the page (or just go to it again via link) you'll find your upload at the top.

Yes, that's it. I tried to put it in the thread.

And now I've just downloaded it back to my computer. Twice. that software update was a total failure

All you have to do is, once you've uploaded the file, hit the button that says "return" and it will take you back to the uploader. Then you can right-click on the download button, copy the link and post it here. Simples!

I'm afraid we don't have as much storage space as TWC so the inline attachments function is limited in size.

The tech admins are looking into the error by the way.

hey guys, I got us all unlimited attachment space. So we can attach as many save game files as we like to posts instead of using the uploader.

PM me if you need some details on shared/dedicated hosting and what real limitations are in place (the amount of space is not a real limiter - processor time and ram usage on shared usually is. And the more concurrent connections and especially concurrent downloads, the larger the load on the server)
