Happy Birthday Myth. Don't get too drunk now.
Hi all, just passing by and it's nice to see all the activity in here!

Good to see you're lurking from time to time @phonicsmonkey. Zim seems to have gone on a spiritual quest far away from the TR. Are there any chances that your life will be al ittle less hectic so you can come back for at least one game?

I'm afraid not @Myth. My baby daughter has been very sick, in hospital. She's out now and back home but needs a lot of help to do basic things like feeding and movement. My wife and I are trying to adjust to this new reality and I just don't have room in my life for Throne Room games anymore.
I'll lurk here and keep an eye on things but I can't join any games. I'd only have to drop them anyway.
It's nice to see things are in good hands here, we'll done you two.

I'm sorry to hear that Phonics, I hope she gets well. Babies have a healing factor like Wolverine from X-Men so she should be fine, remember to think happy thoughts and have faith!

I too hope your daughter gets well soon. I fully support your decision to focus on that! Best of luck from me, and I'm sure everyone at the Throne Room!

Hi @Vasilefs, and welcome! I'm glad you decided to come by since I pm-ed you in the TWC. Care to join one of our games? There's a free spot in Empires of the east as it's only turn 2 and the ERE player has not been doing his turns yet. Also, Vikingetid needs a sixth player. Check them out!

Any chance of there being another TATW hotseat in the near future? Or was it deemed unsuitable for hotseat play?
Edit: And before you ask, yes I have seen Vikingetid and I am certainly interested. I'll check out the mod at some point this week and give the rules a more thorough look before commiting. It doesn't look as if Cecil has been here in a while anyway...

Hi Elite Ferret, Cecil is indeed around, but he doesn't post much. He helped us with a delicate issue back during the summer. TATW 3.1 is great, I'm enjoying it a lot for SP. If we set up a hotseat it should not be more than a 2v2 though, since the distances are absurd relative t the movement points of the armies. As the Higih Elves last game I spend the entirety of the game moving two armies from the east coast of Middle Earth to the Gondorian front.
Something like Rohan/Gondor vs Mordor/Haard could be fun though.

Yeah that's the impression I got from skimming through the thread. It's a shame but I guess having predetermined alliances and very defined battle areas isn't ideal for a hotseat. It does feel like a very slow mod to me, takes a while for anything major to happen.
Gondor/Rohan vs Mordor/Harad could indeed be fun, but I think I'd be very worried about the AI Isengard if I was Rohan.
Is anyone else interested? If not I guess I'll hang around for the next SS game.
Europa I needs one player too i believe.

A Happy New Year,
to you, Monkey, and all my fellow Throne Room residents.
Congratulations to all the HoF award winners!!
This is a mod I can't wait to try in SP and a hotseat... I think it's going to complete the "big three" along with Stainless Steel 7.0 and TATW 3.2

Does anybody have any suggestions for a nice simple game for me to join so that I can ease myself into the Throne Room? A bit of role-play, and a fair deal of patience with the other players! I own RTW and MTW II with Kingdoms - both are unmodded but I can easily download the required mod. My preference is Roman, but I'm definitely flexible. :)
