Default [EB] The Rebel faction slot

How about if I mod the rebel faction into a completely new and unique faction not able to make it in EB due to faction limits, it would only require me to enable the rebel faction, and then do ownership changes.

Now, start the debate on who should qualify.

    My nominees are:

    Thrace
    Numidia
    Celtiberia

Eh? I am just going to give the rebel faction a new roster so it looks like a whole new faction, units will still be the old eb ones.

Lightbulb Re: The Rebel faction slot

I think the important point here is diversity: you want to have a faction that is sufficiently different from the existing ones to make it worth playing. So you would have to look for a place on the EB map that provides a full or nearly-full unit-roster of regional units. The problem is that are very few regional heavies (heavy cavalry, shock infantry), so any "regional" is going to be at a disadvantage similar to the Saba. Belgium could work: Remi Marepos for heavy cavalry, Milnath for heavy infantry, standard Celts with a few Germans thrown in for the rest. Ireland too, if you stretch it a bit to give them proper cavalry (is Caledonian Noble Cavalry usable?)

The other problem is that regional units are already available to existing factions, so I guess you need to remove them there in order to make the new faction worthwhile over the old one.

Of course, I am just guessing at your plan here, and I have practically no MP experience, so maybe I am way off the mark.

I have no plan :D, Il just do what comes off as the most popular suggestion. The idea comes from RS 2, where the rebel faction was modded into Thrace, which was not in the orgininal game.
