Default A Ninja versus an Italian Assassin, who will emerge victorious?

Well, based on what I can think of, a ninja is basically an assassin and a saboteur in one. So what happens if we pit an elite ninja(who undoubtedly has a lot of experience in stealth operations and assassination missions) against an Italian Assassin(Assassin's Creed context), say Ezio Auditore da Firenze(who also has quite a record of disposing of clergymen, emperor wannabes, etc), who has the edge?

    EQUIPMENT RUNDOWN

    1.YOUR TYPICAL NINJA HAS:
    -katana
    -shuriken
    -a bow
    -kusarigama (chain and sickle)
-an assortment of darts, knives and spikes
    -explosives(frag,smoke and poison bombs)
    -a lightweight armor
-mizugumo(wodden boots that allow ninja to walk on water)

    2.EZIO AUDITORE HAS
    -the hidden blade
    -Altair's sword
    -a shortblade(mostly a dagger)
    -a crossbow
    -poison darts
    -throwing knives
-wide array of explosives(tripwires, impact bombs, smokescreens, etc)
    -plated armor

Well, It would be a match between equals. I'd don't think there'd be a winner, even if they have advanced weapons. I'd say the Ninga because of his shuriken and explovies, if he can divert Ezio's attention. Ezio because he can kill like a pro. His sword and his plated armour do make up for the Ninja's light amour, so He'd have more a of chance, but the ninja is much faster than him.

Does Ezio have the amour of Altair?
And doesn't he have a gun?

I am quite certain that this special breed of Italian assassins we are all thinking of now was completely pulled out of someone's arse so...

My money would be on the Assassin though, mainly because they can pull off all sorts of crazy stunts even while wearing a heavy armour and what not. Also, any attack can be blocked and countered with the hidden blades *hinthint*

Why is running on water useful?
You're on a completely open surface with an expert knife thrower/guy with gun behind you.

Disappear with smoke bomb, reappear on the other side of a river. Assassin has to swim, gets gun wet.

Also ninja counters knives with shuriken.

You mean a fight between this
    Brotherhood freeflow killstreak
    and this
    Ninja-guuuu, Shinobiii!

The Assassins are terrible assassins due to them being unable to switch clothes, hide their weapons properly (seriously, you're walking around with a 5 foot sword and a handheld crossbow on your back and yet no one notices you between 4 courtesans? Haters gonna hate this pimp much?) and their ability to dive into 600 enemies and simply kill every single one without ever taking a hit. Sure, its a useful talent to have as a professional killer, but it begs the question "why pretend to hide". Also apparently you can summon snipers with 1-hit KO crossbow bolts from any place in the city you're in - indoors or outdoors - if you get a bunch of indoctrinated goons to call you master after you mercilessly slaughter whoever is trying to arrest them.

The Ninjas just fail. Horribly. God, we love it.

So I guess the Ninja would win if both parties started off unaware of their opposition's position and the "Assassin" would win if he catches a glimpse of a Ninja running, jumping, falling, jumping over someone and falling or one that's simply stuck in a wall
