you are voting for me to save yourself not because i placed the first vote on you
I don't have a tally handy, but I'm almost dead certain you had fewer votes on you than Visor.

At the time you had one legal vote and Visor had 3. Four if GE is a double-voter.
I had three legal votes.
Therefore the motive you've ascribed to my actions doesn't exist.

I know and that means we're almost completely sunk already.

ooh...i forgot to mention that fact that you guys have vote influencing powers as well...or are you a werewolf?
More importantly, the town needs to lynch decisively. Maybe it is not important this phase...since we dont know what kind of vote influencing is possible.
decisive lynches are all well and good, when there's something worth deciding on. That said, the 37-person wagon or whatever it was I saw in the Star Wars game I hosted is a waste of time. It's not essential for everyone to wagon. A clear leader by three or four votes is plenty, because that can be reversed if new evidence come to light. Guilty people don't being more guilty or deader by a larger wagon, and a large wagon doesn't do a whole lot of good on an innocent person. Generally speaking, the further apart the lynch leader is from the runner-up, the less control the average voter has over the lynch, and since town pretty much only has the lynch as a weapon, mega-wagons favor scum and hurt analysis or tactical options.

Speaking of, this is getting into mafia theory. I propose a theory for you all to chew on-
A lynch by three or four votes (possibly higher, depending on the situation) is plenty as mentioned. Reversing a wagon of 10 or more is nigh-impossible with people's RL schedules and tendency to vote once-twice a day at most, plus the time limit.
As such, a pro-town voting procedure, not an enforceable rule but a "pro-town custom", might be the following.
- Everyone places a vote to nominate someone for death. The nomination process requires you to choose someone who has been nominated three times or less.
- You may, however, voice that you'd really rather nominate X, but X has already been sufficiently nominated, so you're going along with this procedure for the sake of cooperation.
- Once the nomination process is complete, say halfway through a day phase, people place their votes on the people they really would like to see dead. However, once a leader has been established, say by having a clear plurality of the votes, it would be considered customary to not pile-on the leader, but to simply vote abstain and suggest that they are consenting to the leader's lynch.
- Then, the leader can be reversed with ease, by a few persons, specifically the persons voting for that wagon, likely their main accusers. If their main accuser has reversed their opinion, it's likely due to a reveal of some kind, or new evidence brought to light, or someone else looking more guilty.
- Should voting shenanigans take place, abstainers can then place an actual vote and ensure that the majority opinion still wins.
The purpose of all this: instead of pressuring one or two candidates at the beginning of a round and having, at most, 2-3 choices per round, most of them likely to be townies, the nomination process puts pressure on several candidates for death, and we will also see who supports whom for death out of those candidates. More information for the analytical player, and more information for the voter who thinks X is scummy but has no idea who else thinks X is scummy.
Finally, huge voting blocs won't be necessary for town to "change its mind". The accusers merely need to change their mind. Probably also explain why they changed their mind. As such, the vote will always be more dynamic, and any voted scumbag will always be just a couple votes away from death. Almost anyone can decide the round against them, making the average townie voter far more powerful. Vanilla townies can end up being decisive instead of just vote number 8 on lynchee of the day.
I would argue that this customary procedure would be almost exclusively pro-town, and that the anti-town forces who attempt to take advantage of the closer votes will have to do it more openly and nakedly, which is also pro-town.

....and that's number wang.
there - all the evidence we need for pizza being scum this game! he knows it is not practical - most people show up only once a day and some like me dont at all - so he is just saying it here to look like he is town! lynch him! NOW!
Very nice.Generally speaking, the further apart the lynch leader is from the runner-up, the less control the average voter has over the lynch, and since town pretty much only has the lynch as a weapon, mega-wagons favor scum and hurt analysis or tactical options.
Because I can not allow atheotes to be lynched.

I don't particularly - law of averages states that as he was just mafia in the last game, he probably isn't now - but I don't cross game so that should be irrelevant. The reason I unvoted visorslash putting atheotes back up is due to your post and you haven't answered my question. So I'll keep abstaining til you do.
theotes is up with a plurality, by the way. He will die for your intransigence.
