Marian units in Alexandrea?

First I will point out that I am using BI.exe. But I am not sure if this has anything to do with my question.


Playing Romani, got Marian reforms via 90 settlements (if it matters).

Had no problems getting new units except in Alexandria. No mic options except local. According to recruitment viewer you can recruit both the cohorts and the elites there. I have triple checked the buildings, I have delete all other mics, set up level 2 gov, etc. Was something changed in 1.2 so Rome cannot recruit cohorts there? Or is this a bug?

It has been a while since I have played with Rome, I thought I remember being able to recruit Marian units there (1.0 or 1.1). No?

Ok. Never mind. Not sure what happened. Restarted the game and now I had a level one mic already built and was able to start a level 2 mic. Not sure why this happened.

Maybe the script wasn't firing the first time, too many buildings, or just random ;)
