Thread: RTW Armenia Succession game

    Default RTW Armenia Succession game

Rules - the same as in the first game:

    https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showt...ipio!-R-TW-PBM

Campaign difficulty - very hard, battle difficulty - hard

    Rules:

    1. All battles should be played by player himself on battle map (in auto-resolved battles family members almost never die).
    2. Loading game - especially after various misfortunes and failures - is forbidden (things like lost battle, death of a family member, etc.).
    3. As faction heir must always be designated the oldest family member (so that no player will be able to rule for a veeery looong time).
    4. After the death of a current leader, we hand over the faction to a next player (ofc. no loading in case of leader's death to prolong the reign).
    5. It is forbidden to purposedly cause the death of a faction heir, just to get an opportunity of choosing someone younger for a faction heir.
    6. If someone wants, they can write AARs describing their rules, if not then some short description of one's reign will be appreciated.
    7. Cheats and codes such as for example toggle_fow (console in general) are of course forbidden.
    8. It is forbidden to bribe armies, generals and cities of AI factions - except of Slaves & Rebels.
    9. Do not surround enemy armies or agents with units to destroy them.
    10. Do not sell map information/trade/alliance for over 500 gold to the AI.
    11. Do not use the console in any way. We all know we can beat the SP campaign (even I, a relative newcomer to EB but a RTW veteran). This is not a competition nor is it a race. This is a SP experience shared with your fellow Armenians and cannot be "won" in any way really.

    =====================================================

    Artaxias the Conqueror (330 BC - 250 BC), reigned for long 20 years (270 - 250 BC):

Died peacefully while campaigning against Egypt in the Arabian Desert:

Achievements of King Artaxias the Conqueror:

    1) - destroying the eternal enemy of Armenia: Pontus, conquest of all 4 of its provinces.
    2) - large scale colonization: sending peasants from large cities to smaller towns, to accelerate their growth.
    3) - construction of stone walls in majority of cities - "found Armenia built of wood and left it built of stone".
    4) - creation of a recruit base for the army and developing sources of financing the army.
    5) - military reforms - creation of military formations of heavy spearmen and cataphract archers.
    6) - economic developments, especially construction of roads, farming network, development of trade.
    7) - victorious war against Parthia & conquest of all of her lands to the south of the Caspian Sea.
    8) - construction of a system of border defences against Scythians in the north, a network of forts.
    9) - construction of early warning system of observation towers along the southern & northern borders.
    10) - conquest of three provinces of the Seleucid Empire, gaining access to the Mediterranean Sea.
    11) - efficiently halting the Egyptian expansion, destruction of two Egyptian armies.
    12) - achieving a really good condition of the royal treasury (by the end of his reign).

The new king is Rusa. May Vahagan let him reign for such a long time as his father did:

    PS:

Players will play in order of application.

So if you are willing to play, let us know about this below and wait for your turn. ;) The first one will play now as King Rusa.

When Rusa dies, a next player will take over. And so on. In order of application.

When you finish, you may also let me know which regions you conquered, then I will update the map.

ReluctantSamurai barely has time for a quick game of STW these days, let alone an extended RTW campaign

But seriously....judging by the map and that Armenia now has heavy spears and cataphract archers, this campaign is as good as over for everyone else

.....and besides, I'd have to wait for my man Kudurmabug to make his appearance (you'd have to have read AAR's for my Armenian camps to understand that one.....)

Aww come on. Show us your prowess! It's not an extended campaign, It's barely 20-ysh turns before an aged FL kicks the bucket.
