    Default A Game of Cold-Blooded Murder [Game Over]

    ~~~
    Askthepizzaguy presents: a game of cold-blooded murder
    ~~~

    Mafia for 20+ players

    The rules:
    There are 20 of them. You should probably read them all.

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    1. At dawn of the First Day, someone will be murdered cold and dead. This person becomes the game Moderator.

    2. From then onward, each active living player will attempt to solve the crime.

    3. At the end of the First Day, and each day thereafter, one person will be accused of the crime, and sentenced to death.

    4. The accused will be determined by a vote. However, and this is very important- a majority is required to lynch anyone.

    5. Whoever reaches the required vote total first is lynched. That means the first person to receive the votes of at least 50% of the remaining players will be executed immediately thereafter.

    6. No vote switches are counted after that threshold is reached.

    7. Unlike standard mafia, the Day will continue until the 50% threshold is reached, or until the game moderator has determined that there will be no voting majority and enough time has elapsed. There will always be a 24 hour warning before any such judgment of the moderator.

    8. In the event the moderator determines there will be no voting majority, either the lead candidate will be executed, or something else entirely will happen at the moderator's sole discretion. That something else will be cruel and delightfully unfair. You have been warned.

    9. And the Dawn of the Second Day, it will be clear that, regardless of the events of the First Day, there is at least one guilty party remaining alive. Furthermore, during the night, it is entirely likely that the killer or killers will strike again.

    10. It is legal for the guilty party to choose not to murder.

    11. It is legal for any player to abstain from voting.

    12. It is legal for any player to vote for "No Lynch" at their own discretion.

    13. Legal votes must be bolded, and include the word "Vote: " before the target's name, i.e: Vote: Askthepizzaguy

    14. It is generally a good idea to actively participate in some fashion, such as discussing or voting. Otherwise cruel and unfair things may happen to you at the moderator's sole discretion.

    15. That being said, there is no forced minimum activity requirement or publicly known threshold for booting inactive players. That person that seems inactive might be guilty and just laying low. You have been warned.

    16. During the night, the thread will be locked, and there will be no discussion. Most people cannot solve crimes while they're sleeping, and it hasn't occurred to you to sleep in shifts. The guilty parties have grown quite comfortable with murder and can get in a full night's rest even after murdering someone.

    17. The innocent team is also known as "Town" but will probably not be referred to as such, ever, during this game.

    18. Guilty parties are also known as "Mafia" but will probably not be referred to as such.

    19. Play continues until Town has eliminated all threats, or the Mafia controls a 50% stake of the vote, thus robbing anyone else of the ability to lynch them. Either condition ends the game immediately with a victory for one side.

    20. It's not personal, it's just business. If you can't be nice, at least be professional. Remember that it is only a game, and it is a game of lies, backstabbing, and murder. Be sure to take it all in stride. Personal attacks will be warned off. Disruptive players will be booted. And also remember: HAVE FUN!

    You may begin by posting the word in, in bold thusly. Or you can try to be more clever and think of a subtler way.

    No, you are mistaken.

    "Thus" is a verb. "Thusly" is clearly an adverb.

    Noun forms include "thussion", "thussitude", and "thusburger".

    Don't get me started on the English language.

    Historic = adjective.

    Historical = adjective.

    Therefore, which suffix makes it an adjective? -ic? -ical?

    I am in agreement with this argument.

    The purpose of language is to convey ideas and feelings, if we are able to do that clearly and effectively then the words or grammar used are inconsequential. As long as people understand what you are trying to say, then it is correct.
    Having said that if you dare to confuse 'your' and 'you're' I will never forgive you, because I am a hypocrite.

    From said wiktionary entry: [INDENT]'thus +‎ -ly, dating from the 19th century, seemingly coined by educated writers to make fun of uneducated persons trying to sound genteel, with a false inference that thus is not an adverb.'[INDENT] Wiktionary ain't an official dictionary, Askthepizzascum. vote: Askthepizzaguy for faulty argumentation
