Round One



On the first round of betting, many of the gamblers decided to wager as much as they could. But after seeing the cards they got, it looked like it may have been a mistake. In the end, the two card players left in the game were Chaotix and Gaius Scribonius Curio.

They kept raising one another, until Gaius had tossed his entire stack of chips on Chaotix man.

"Let me tell ya somethin, brother! You're going down, and you're going down hard, because the name's Curio, and it rhymes with Superior!"

Chaotix cocked an eyebrow.

Chaotix: "Actually, no, no that's pretty much not true. Superior does not rhyme with Curio. Also, I got a full house."

Curio: "Oh, oh, I got a 2, and a 4, and a 6, and an 8, and a 10. That's an even straight, right? Straight beats a full house."

Chaotix: "Once again, hate to correct you, but it appears you're mistaken. A full house beats a straight. And what you have right there is actually not a straight."

Curio: "It's not?"

Chaotix: "Nope."

Curio: "Well.... horsefeathers."

Don Pizzaguy arrived just in time to see the end of the hand. "What do we have here, gentlemen? It looks like Chaotix wins this hand. Say, how's about you start repaying your debt now? Thanks, I'll just confiscate the entire pot. Mister Curio, would you come with me please?"

Curio: "Sure thing, mister Pizzaguy."

One of the gamblers got up to get a glass of water. "Man, the service here in this casino is pretty craptastic. I have to stop gambling just to get my own drink of water." the gambler muttered.

"Sir, can I help you?"

"Yes, miss, I'm familiar with more of a Vegas kinda deal, where I get all the drinks and food I want delivered right to my table, so I can keep gambling. I wish to lodge a complaint with the service."

"Oh, it's not like that here, sir, but follow me, and I'll get you that drink of water."

"Why are we taking the service elevator?"

"Miss?"

".......here we are, sir. Top floor. It's where we keep all our best water."

"Oooooo..... kay...."

A large burly man in an exquisite Italian suit approached the patron.

"Welcome to the rooftop bar, Mister Ironside. Please, have a seat."

"I'm just here to get a glass of water, and I'll be on my way."

"I am trying to show you courtesy and respect, Mister Ironside. Please, have a seat."

"How are you enjoying your stay here at Don Pizzaguy's Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium of Total Gaming Madness?"

"Well, that's not what I heard. It has come to my attention that you've in fact referred to the service here as.... 'craptastic'. This, displeases me. I wish to find out the root cause of your dissatisfaction. Do you know that we are the highest rated Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium in the tri-state area? We maintain that level of satisfaction from our guests because of one very important reason. All our guests, upon leaving this Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium fill out a comment card indicating how much they've enjoyed their stay, and they always give us excellent marks on our quality service. A pair of heavy hands pushed him back down onto the bar stool.

"Just a moment of your time, please. The comment card. Fill it out."

"Okay, look, see? I gave you five stars. Excellent service. May I go now?"

"Why, certainly, Mister Ironside. That's all I really wanted. You're free to leave. This gentleman here will escort you out."

"Thank you."

"I hope you've enjoyed your stay at Don Pizzaguy's Hotel, Casino, and Delivery/Dine-In/Take Out Pizzeria Emporium of Total Gaming Madness."

"Huh?"

"Here's that drink you were looking for."

The burly gentleman hurled Ironside off of the roof. 15 floors later, Ironside landed on the magnificent fountain right in front of the casino. Unfortunately, the only splashing sound was the sound of metal impaling Ironside through the stomach, as he landed on the exact center of the fountain, where stood a large angelic statue pouring water into the fountain.

"Hey Dewey, it would have been a lot funnier if he landed in the water. Work on your aim, would ya?"

"I was going for wordplay. Iron. Side. Get it now?"

"That's stupid, Dewey."

"YOU'RE stupid."

"Sorry. I guess I'm just too stupid to come up with something better. What do you suggest?"
