Edit region ownership

Since I didn't found something via search, I try it with making my own thread.

I guess I already found out that I need to edit the startpos.esf with EditSF under CAMPAIGN_STARTPOS - CAMPAIGN_PLAYERS_SETUP - REGION_OWNERSHIPS_BY_THEATRE - 0 -REGION_OWNERSHIPS -> and then the regions themselves.
Now is the question how I exactly put in the factions so I don't mess up.
And what is about armies of other factions maybe standing around, still.
Or what is about factions "wiped out" in the process by giving away all their regions?
If there's any tutorial around about, I'd like to see it.

Edit; found out that it's not the main thing since editing the factions in my path doesn't do anything.
So I need to start from scratch.
