Default I told you you were overreacting. New DLC announced.

As expected since the hint of Darren, the next pack, "The Final Roman", is about the Justinian campaigns in the west. Surprised that they didn't include the Slavs as well, since that would be a great chance to milk the Eastern Europe.

A bit strange to watch the new German PR of CA, in the place of Will.

Playable factions will be the Byzzies (Belissarius can choose to rebel and recreate WRE), the Ostrogoths, the Visigoths, the Franks and the Vandals.

Map will focus on the western Mediterrenean:

Not going to buy it, just like every other DLC, as I am against the concept and I don't own ATW.

There's one little detail in that Rally Point...

Shogun:TW and Medieval:TW, the originals, are coming to Steam.

That's great as I lost my copy of Medieval 1 from gamers-gate and they no longer sell it. :D

Whole map or go home - if it's only the Med then you can't do better than Justinian and truly rebuild the Empire.

That can't be the whole map, most of Italy (and Rome) is missing.

Philipvs, the map goes as far as Illyria to the east. It sounds like whatever you're viewing it with isn't displaying all of it. Try clicking the link above the picture.

It's not missing. Sometimes, the forum's format doesn't allow the entire image to appear, due to its limited size, so it crops out the left side. Click "view image" and everything will be fine.

No, it will be focused more on solving the CTD errors caused by modern video cards. Same game as you know it, just no CTD's.

Do you have a source(s) for this? I can already play on my rig, but there are a few lingering problems that I would be glad to be rid of....

Integrating with the Steam overlay would require some changes to the existing game code, which in turn allows implementation and compatibility with the modern game cards.

I see that now - still disappointed there's no Britannia, because Justinian comes almost directly after Arthur, there are Balkanised Romano-Britons who need saving there people!

Overall it looks like the make is three times the scale of the Grand Campaign, each settlement from the original map is a province on the new one.

Alright, Creative Assembly removed the video, for some unkown reason, but a rather fast Youtuber managed to re-upload the trailer of the Last Roman. Watch Justinianus behaving like a true hooligan!

P.S. Since the Hannibal trailer before Rome's II release, I have difficulties in liking any of their videos. Perhaps, I find them too focused on signle, badass characters, instead of insisting on strategic tactics and battles.

So today the Last Roman campaign pack will come out to add some more content.

And possibly, STW and MTW will be released as well.

The Vandals sure have an interesting starting position.
I knew about the Vandals settling in Carthage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vandal_Kingdom.
I didn't know about Suebi in Iberia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_the_Suebi, I thought that icon must have been in the wrong place
maybe those guys should be doing something more useful...

Every playable faction has the same WRE culture. It has a gameplay reason, but surely the Romans (ERE culture but otherwise similar to the WRE culture) and the Roman Expedition (if it rebels) and maybe the Vandals should be able to build at least basic waterworks. Even the Franks built a hippodrome historically some decades after the game is set. The expedition mechanism is very interesting. Although Rome can be prone to randomly outlaw the RE, the development of what was a mobile and under-sized army is well represented.

The Org seems sleepy these days.
