Justice should be swift and seen to be done.

Swift yes.
Yellow card is one method of making it seen.

But I would like to understand why each little one is there. If the yellow cards are there to be seen by all ,not just the poster, then it would seem logical that we understand how people get them so we to can avoid doing it ourselves.

It does not make sense to make an example of someone without the example. If the deterrent value of a punishment is to function the action that is trying to be deterred has to be known to all.

Also I would like to understand the graduation of cards. What one means, two, three etc.

Justice is best served when we can read not just the code of laws but the punishments associated with them. Without seeing the punishments it means we have to make individual value judgements based on our individual common sense what is a crime and the various levels of it. At the moment I do not know if I am littering in Singapore or Aus (one place you can get canned for the other a fine).

Harsh Justice or Light Justice. It has to be applied across the board with an even hand. It also needs to be understood why it was done.

Wisdom will be gained for all knowing the most important question of all is answered why?

Firm, Fair and Wise.

I know our moderators and admin are very capable at this. I just want to understand if there is a higher reason not to publish the reasons for a punishment.

imo each punishment should be guided with an explanation. i think some card my chamP (a mod misusing a name himself) got were not solely based on pure justice but also a mods own feeling. and that is wrong.

i see people misusing others names like "Kocomoc" -on purpose- and i didnt see any yellow card for the guy who did this. why? cuz he is a senior member? its like the banning stuff we faced. one side banning was stupid, are we now subject to one side chipping? kenchi-mods and friends vs anti-Terrasists? I dont know but some yellow cards my messenger got were out of line. I can safely say that more people noticed this. And without me "commanding" Dion to post about it he did it himself.

some things are still decided by classjustice "we are good, they are baaahhaaad". I cant help a wolf has 4 legs but sheeps have 4 legs as well.

Magyar Khan I am not debating if it is fair in any particular case. I just wish to know what is happening and why or at the least the idea why it seems to be half implemented from a patron awareness perspective.

I must admit though that it is curiosity with what is happening with your Cham that is one of the primary reasons. As well as seeing more of the yellow squares forming under patrons who I have thought to be very reasonable (as in more reasonable then I so I am wondering when I will cross the line in one of my rants?).

As it is it looks like Cham is being sponsored by the manufactures of Post Its... which kind of makes sense as he is the messenger after all.

Sorry Khan i am trying hard not to disrupt the community but things have changed so fast over a short period of time i need more time to adapt. I see many countries and sights. this forum come close to Signapore so to speak. spitting is 2 months jail, while in china i get jailed when u dont spit.

but lets return to teh subject. imo i have the right to know where. what how i got those yellow cards. teh card of my khan was explained by "a" staffmember. i would like to see mine explained as well. i do not have to know who gave them cuz i have enuf imagination for that.

If we warn a person ,we also get a chance & oppurtunity, and a urgent request to do so, to mail/PM what the person has done wrong. I know that there were a few chips handed out for trying to cause a flamewar, and a few for outright spamming ,even after being warned (without chip). As it is now, there is only a punishment after 5 chips, when you get the 5th, 1st you've been a very bad boy, and second : you get banned. Chips aren't "to set an example" so no chips are handed out without good reason. They are here ,not to punish people publicly, but to remind them to behave themselves.

When I sent warnings to you, MagyarKhans Cham I also gave the explanation, and the warning carries a link to the offending thread, so don't act like you don't understand and that these yellow chips are suddenly showing up for no reason.
If you feel it's the whole forum's business to know why you were warned, then feel free to cut and paste your warnings, with the links and in their entirety, and post them in your own Animal Farm forums for debate.

Now can anyone tell me why a moderator can misuse the name of my Cham or Yam and give a yellow card for the post he made like stated above? My messengers post was just a reaction on toras post who obvious got a yellow card himself.

Does this mean that if u get offended by someone and the mods dont see it that u have to email them and urge for a card for someone else?

Many questions and still no real answers besides vagueness.

I suggest that the org staff stays correct and dont carry their feelings from teragate into everey other posts my cham makes for me.

I have seen members of a particular clan trying to cause a flamewar, do they got a chippy?

In dutch, gelijke monniken gelijke kappen, freely translated four legs is good and 2 legs is also good.

As you know, I'm completely neutral when it comes to clans, I've only warned one person so far, which was for trying to get a flame war. Don't know if he belongs to any clan and frankly dont care. All I know is that if you screw up bad, you can expect a warning and it's clear to me that certain people with 3 chips, wont give names though , certainly did deserve one or 2 of them, meaning that I don't read every single post on this board.I'm sure that other mods are equally neutral, esp. when it comes to clans.

If you feel someone is trying to cause a flamewar, anyone of any clan, please contact one of the moderators, or post a link below and we'll take action if need be.

but mith how are warnings given, in teh certain posts or are they emailed to u? i remember for my own card that a staffmember posted in some post in my controlpanel or somewhere else above in my screen of thsi forum, which i found by accident btw. as i remember well it said something like new posts:1, maybe i am wrong.

Rest assured that if you receive a warning from a moderator, you will also receive an email as to why. The offender is not publically reprimanded because confronting/ embarrassing people in public only tends to make them defensive and sometimes belligerent. It also encourages some offenders to "strut upon the stage" and show off in front of their colleagues. The private message is meant as a courtesy, a man to man talk. I have had private talks with several patrons to date about certain degrees of transgressions in the Tavern.
Their identities and the topics discussed are no one else's business, no one's at all. As Soly stated, if one wishes to cut and paste the private messages between moderator and patron, then go ahead. We're not out to embarrass or humiliate anyone. We also have nothing to hide nor seek any agenda, none but civil and respectful discourse on this board. It does make me wonder though, why some would want to air their private discussions with a moderator in public? What could that persons agenda possibly be? I think most can read between those lines eh?

If ones true intentionsare to play well and get along well with others, then there is nothing to worry about. However, if the opposite is the case, then it's on you. Moderators don't ban patrons, patrons ban themselves. A patron is in total control of the situation, their conduct and intent, as it applies to the forum rules, determines what happens to their membership on this board.

I think the problem was with Signapore instead of Singapore.

Also I don't think Solypisty in bold instead of solypsist would be a favourable mistake.

Combine that with teh instead of the and grammer differences to the norm and the best case scenario is that the Cham is Dyslexic.
