It's a good thing that war is so horrible or we would grow to love it too much.
I'm 15......can't believe how some of you guys are
17 here ...
but I'll be 18 in august, so my parents will finally be able to kick me out of the house I like older people around here, being a very good point against my mother's objections about me staying to much in front of the computer ...
this when she comes home, once a month ... so I have time to spare, but I think that I waste it mainly on reading ...
Thx for the promotion, guys ...

I could just do with playing a game of speedball 2 now, not to mention cannon fodder SWOS and populous 2. Of course the best game ever on the AMIGA was dynablaster, which was essentially a bad version of bomberman, except you could play it 5 player with your mates. If only I had 4 working joysticks we'd still play that one, works a treat when drunk.
Unfortunatly I disposed of my BBC 'B' with the tape deck, noting like a game of defender and whatever that vertical scrolling shooter I had was.
Im only 17 years old but in 2.7.2003 I will be 18 and well ...drunk One more..and one more...one more...this will be the last one ..one more You know.

I must say I'm suprised at the demographic around here. I've been a few other gaming message boards and most people tend to be in their teens.
Anyway I'm 25. The Commdore 64 was my first experience with a computer. My dad had one, and I used to mess with it all the time. The only thing I ever did on though was play games. The loading times were a major pain, especially with games that had more than 1 disk.
One that I can remember was D&D: Pool of Radiance. There were 4 disks and you needed to swap like crazy while travelling to different areas. You spent half your time while playing it waiting for it load. Still had a blast though.
The Atari 2600 was my first experience with gaming.

You never know
My first computer was a Packard-Smell XT, the most expensive computer I've ever owned. DOS 3.3. My first game was Red Storm Rising. Ah, the days of C:>
as an aside, my ex cousin-in-law--if there is such a thing--was Rod Canion, the founder of Compaq. But I've never owned a Compaq.

Wer nicht hüpft, ist Osnabrücker, hey, hey!
I can't believe I'm the only one who had a ZX81. A full 1k off goodness, until I managed to persuade the old fella to buy the 16k plug in memory, breath on it and 15 hours of typing was gone.
Those were the days....
I still think back and laugh at the fact that Kings Quest V (?) came on a whole 5 3 1/2 discs, AND at 5 Meg took up over half of my hard-disk (9 Meg) at the time...
Ahhh, the good-ole-days
Cheers

I've always had a thing for wargames, must be the viking genes
I started playing Harpoon on the Amiga500 way back in the 90's and still got it on the harddrive. Think the MTW is going to stay for a long time as well, at least until RTW
I had Harpoon for my Amiga 1000. That was a fun game. Lots to keep track of.

I've had a PC for as long as I can remember really, since I was 5 or 6. We also had an Atari console one of those 16 color ones I think. Since then I have been doing anything and everything to do with PCs and have built quite a few over the years. ATM runnuing a LAN spanning two houses with 8 computers

I'm 20, really surprised witht the demographics expected a more twenty something age group. At least now i know that i'll have something to look forward to when i'm forty something started off with an atari something then progessed to the mighty commodore 64(anyone remember summer and winter olympics games? pure heaven). Then i got the mighty amiga 600, i still have it. Can anyone say that SWOS wasn't the greatest game of all time? Still play it regulary. I then dabbled in the console market with segas and playstations 1 + 2 before returning to pc and finding the promised land of gaming with M:TW
I thought, at 25, I was gonna be one of the youngsters, its interesting to read the ages of people who you play against all the time, completely shatters your vision of what they look like.
As for computer games, the first game that got me completely hooked, apart from paperboy and jet set willy, was Dungeon Master. Still an absolute classic - nothing like turning the corner and seeing 4 Giant Spiders staring at you, my heart has never fully recovered.
The eagle looked down and saw that the arrow had been made with one of his own wings. Often we give our enemies the means of our own destruction.
