2nd hand copy of STW

Hi

I have a 2nd copy of STW but the CD key doesnt work..

To play online, I :-
1. Click multiplayer
2. Click Register on EAPLay
3. Click Play on EAPlay (use EA registration and CD key)

The error message asks if I have created a Shogun player on www.totalwar.com. But there does not seem to be anywhere to create one on the website.

Also - what version are MP Shogun people using? I might need to download a patch.

Just a recommendation - MP would get a huge boost if the need for CD keys were removed. I'd be happy to pay an extra small registration fee to get a MP username and password.

Any help?
