Talk about your bad weeks

First off guys, I need to know what version the last patch for the old STW game is labeled (I think it is v1.12, but I want to make sure). I am putting it back on my computer. About the bad week part . . . One of my PCs lost its harddrive earlier in the week so I was going to use some of its parts to replace with my newer PC. When I did this my PC motherboard shorted out and I lost a lot of other components too. At first I thought I had messed it up, but I found out that my power supply just happened to go bad at the same time I was changing out components. Well this power supply took out the hardrive on this PC, the motherboard, the CPU, and the soundcard. So this past week I have had to buy 2 hardrives, a 3d graphics card, a sound card and a power supply. So hopefully now I can get back to playing shogun again! Also, Puzz3D and ShingenMitch2, I need you to send me an email at el-marko@insightbb.com, with the email addy you want to use so I can get the Shogun campaign started at the Ugly forum. SOrry about the delay, but my one harddrive had been going out for a few weeks and then THIS happened. I am a bit behind, but will catch up soon!! cya later guys

El Mo Mo, think to the future....if the patch works out alright you may find some of the old fun in MI/WE.... and we need more of the veterans (some older than others *ahem* *looks at Elmos sagging breasts*) to help teach the newbies and bring back the spirit of Bob Hope...(or at least make Fear return him from his captive state!).

A bad week well really.Fast had to format all comp.Had no backup files.Lost all pic's and sig's he was working on
Like havin a new comp now.Now have WinXP so all new again.+ not been online now for 4 days because of this
Then couldnt get email to work havin other probs with XP man!really bad week.
But all is comin together now!OK gotta go do so more tweakin now

Dang guys you all sound like you're falling apart!! Hang in there it only gets worse from here on out. Fast, I also got WindowsXP when i had to replace most of my pc parts. I can give you a few hints that may help. If you go to the game .exe icon for each game you own, that is having problems running under XP . . IF you right click on this icon a menu will pop up . . go to "properties" then on next menu pull up the "Compatibility" tab. There you will find that XP allows you to load games as if they were being played on anything from win3.1 on up. I had problems getting Dungeon Seige and Ghost Recon run without freezing up until I changed them to run as if it was WIN98. Now I am looking good. One other thing of importance. Make sure you download new drivers, which are compatible with XP, for every device in your PC, including your motherboard/CPU and CD/DVD drives. Good luck and I hope you don't have as much problems getting everything to run as I did. If you have any other problems let me know. I have several people at work who have had XP for a long time and are experts at fixing problems with it.

Hey Elmo, isn't it cool how WinXP has you playing at 100% cpu usage. No wasted resources. Now, if your boss and your wife both get you to 100% usage, you'll have the perfect life. Nothing being wasted.

The only thing wasted then Puzz would be me!!! I have asked around at work, but nobody seems to have an answer for me. I looked on the WInXP web site and nothing found there either. I will have to take all of my settings to zero and introduce them slowly to see what is causing the problem.
